CT5-V Locking Driver’s Side Door Using Cadillac Symbol on Handle

I am having an issue trying to lock the doors by touching the “indented” Cadillac symbol on the door handle of the driver’s side door. I push, swipe, and even try to hold the handle and touch the indented Cadillac symbol and won’t lock the doors. Nothing at all happens. When I go to the passenger’s side front door and tap the indented Cadillac symbol on the door handle, it locks first time with the lights blinking to confirm with no issues. And yes, I have the key fob in my pocket.

Has anyone had this issue? If so, what was the fix?

I’ll contact the dealer in the morning but trying to have an idea if there is a fix so I can explain to the dealer.

It should just require a short touch with your finger. Don't push or swipe.

Sounds like a bad sensor. It shouldn't be too difficult for them to replicate, diagnose and repair. Which is a blessing these days, as far too often it takes repeated trips to service to get anything done.

Appointment set for June 24th. Dealer already ordered door sensor for me in advance.
