So I'm in a similar situation, just posted in the other thread, where I've taken my car to the dealer probably 4+ times now for an oil burning issue that they can't seem to get resolved. This time it's been in the shop for >30 days. The problem isn't nearly as severe as yours have been but wondering who exactly you contacted about extending the warranty. I think I'm going to have to seek some sort of recourse for this too but not sure if lemon law is the way to go (will be 24months next month so have to decide soon either way).
