Mine makes the same chirp noise. Honestly, I've read it's nothing but a nuisance and not really an issue if you can live with it. Is this still true or is there a true mechanical reason to replace it?Little update for those who might wonder. Dealership has ordered a left side turbo and the synchros for 2nd gear. Parts are on backorder, with no ETA.
I imagine one could live with it, as it doesn't seem to have any performance issues, but I don't want to. It's sad having such a nice car making such a ridiculous sound.Mine makes the same chirp noise. Honestly, I've read it's nothing but a nuisance and not really an issue if you can live with it. I agree. My concern is knowing some of these dealers service areas are hacks, I don't want to trade one problem for another. Seems like invasive surgery to replace it?I imagine one could live with it, as it doesn't seem to have any performance issues, but I don't want to. Unfortunately it's not the BOV, it's a loud chirping on throttle tip in for a split secondI couldn't get the video to play (they block a lot of things at work) so I didn't hear it, but I wonder if perhaps it's the blow-off valve?
"Certified V" is the dealership paid to send their staff to Spring Mountain for a few days and play with Blackwings. It's a sales certification. What you should probably care about is the tech World Class certified.Do the "certified V" techs even learn how to rebuild our trans?
