In a dilemma… Help.

Once I got my first car with steering wheel volume controls I pretty much stopped using the knob on the center console....
As long as the volume control is rotary I’m cool with that. I hate the up/down push type buttons. I use the volume knob exclusively for mute and volume. Very quick and instant, easy to reach for without looking.

Even worse: those terrible CUE haptic slider buttons, or whatever the hell they were supposed to be.
Still, would prefer that to nothing - or to be precise, nothing besides the steering wheel buttons.

Rubber is right. I forgot about the muting function, I do use that a lot.

Also, some forget, the advantage of the physical knob is that you can use it without looking. For me, even the controls on the steering wheel can rarely be used without looking because my other car's buttons are not in the same place.

Regardless of all of that, I want to hear from the OP, has he/she made a decision yet?

Funny cause I think the pre-25 CT5 BW front is the sore spot in that it's the only Caddy that has broken water fall lights but yeah personal opinions is what it comes down too unless you need the precision pack.
Third gen ctsv has broken waterfall lights. Or do you mean currently on sale?

hahahaha

Because they are both the same car outside the mega screen and some front facia strips. The OP owes us beers for our sage advice! 4g hardware will age out before 5g, but they are both going to age out. That is what I like about the iPad on the dash, I can VHB tape a new one to it in 2032 and have current connectivity again.

Haha! For those in the Southeast, we can plan an unofficial BW meet once I get my car and first round of beers one me.

Thanks all for the feedback! I ended up placing an order today through one of the local dealers. I sat in a '24 and '25 today and really liked the facelift screens but the main deciding factor was I wanted Typhoon metallic. I must say, from photos its easy to conclude the facelift front end not looking as good or aggressive as the pre-facelift but in person they both look fantastic. Now the wait begins... The dealer I placed the order with is not one of the top BW-selling dealers so we'll see how long until my order gets filled... Which will segue into my rant about the first dealer experience I had today for those interested below...

I determined which dealer I wanted to place my order with based on how many BW's they had inbound to increase my chances of getting my order filled. I walked into the store, told the sales person exactly what I was looking to do, only to be told by the sales manager that they are unwilling to order a green car in case I back out and they're stuck with it. He said the only way they'd do it is if I placed a $15K non-refundable deposit. Kinda reminds me when you get a contractor to the house to do some work for you, they don't want the job so they throw an outrageous number out there so you say no. Needless to say I said no thanks, drove 15 mins to another dealer and the experience couldn't have been more different. They showed enthusiasm towards the BW, took a $1k refundable deposit for my order, and out I went.

This will be my first non-German car ownership experience and I cannot wait to get the beast!

Congrats on your choice @Savethemanuals

BTW... Any real world sightings on the Seeker Metallic, Nimbus Metallic or the Abalone White Tri Coat?

Maybe the 20 that were special editions that are already sold?

The 2024 Limited Edition 5BW run.

Dustin put that chart out a while back. The only one I have seen is the Coppertino Metallic. Great colors, love to see some of those on an actual car.

Would love to know the first and second dealer as would other prospective buyers so we can avoid the same situation.

If I had gone into a dealer to buy an expensive car and they told me that I would need to put down a 15k NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT, I would tell them that I needed to use their mens room . Then I would proceed to leave a #2 Upper Decker and then tell them that you left your deposit in the mens room.
