Hey, what’s with all the hate for Tavares whenever he comes back to Long Island?
If, for example, Matthews ends up playing at home in Arizona four years from now, I’d bet he’d get a genuinely warm welcome whenever he came back to play his old team.

Yes, or at least it was in MY 2023. But your PDR is not wasted money, it does some cool things and you may see some of that back at resale.



Not sure how you digressed into that, but yes, the E39 M5 was the best car that BMW ever made, with perhaps the exception of the E46 M3 (one might argue). I won't, I've had 3 of those M5s. Many of the automotive magazines referred to the last gen Holden V8 (the Chevy SS here in the USA) as the modern day M5, but personally, I found it lacking in character and performance, although it did have a nice ride and was fairly quiet.

The CT5 Blackwing is really superior in every regard to the M5 except for looks, but much of that we could simply attribute to twenty years of technological improvements.

Now thinking I may add the pdr…

I was a couple neat bourbon pours in, reminiscing some of my previous vehicles while looking through photos and came across my E39. I remember it being the best all-around car I’ve ever owned and that I enjoyed it in every sense. Thinking the BW is going to have the same effect - at least on paper.

Update: I found a pre-owned 2024 out of state that was too good to pass up and pulled the trigger. She's currently on a transporter scheduled to be dropped off on Monday. Will update with photos when she lands. Excited is an understatement and likely won't be able to sleep until then.

I never considered the automatic. You may be mixing me up with @savethemanual , which was pointed out to me earlier in a thread that some folks thought we were the same person due to our usernames being almost identical except for the plural nature of mine .

Congrats on your new 5! Have you driven one yet? The driving experience is unlike any other. The manual Supercharged V8 is nothing short of brutal... and I mean that in the highest regard possible!

Haha- thank you. Haven't driven one yet. Challenging to find used ones to test drive- let alone a manual so this will be the first car I've ever bought where I haven't test driven one prior. I haven't read/watched one person who's driven it not rave about it so I was willing to pull the trigger before driving one. Only exception was Matt Farah when he drove the Hennessey H1000 and the complaint was clutch operation from a standstill (due to cams etc etc) which I'd never do to this car anyway. It has both carbon packages and CCB's, and no sunroof. Can't wait.

She’s here… What a beast. I haven’t redlined 2nd gear yet in fear of going to prison as speed limits are an average of 45mph around me. There is so much power all over the powerband. 4th gear, 40mph, slight throttle and it pulls hard. What a time to be alive and have the opportunity to own a car like this.
