2024 CT5 V
I have a 24’ CT5 V and been hearing that it has a fake engine sound that can come through the speakers.

Is this true and if so can it be disabled?

I know for the 4 they have noise cancellation that selectively gets rid of high frequency engine noises they determined to be unpleasant.

Here's a link to a place selling ANC bypass connectors so you don't have to snip any wires. Looks like you'll need to scan your vehicles QR code to get a list of your installed RPO codes so you get the correct harness.

Whoa this is a very interesting development! The 5BW definitely has fake noise and there are other threads about how it is basically impossible to disable without essentially bricking your infotainment but I had never seen anyone discuss this sort of plug. I wonder if it would work.

I notice with mine that if motor is running and I'm not in the car, when I open the door it sounds much louder suddenly.

Just installed the ANC bypass on my 21 CT5 and I can hear the exhaust much more clearly. Road noise is a little louder but honestly I like the sound better. I always felt like the interior sound was way too muted compared to what is actually going on.

Before I couldn’t really tell the exhaust difference between sport and track mode but each mode is very different now. It does take some work to get to the connector on the Bose system though.
