DSX Lid Whine Results

I put on a MPI lid on my Z06 in about 20minutes, cant imagine the Blackwing would be any longer. Swap the gasket over and just remove a few bolts.

I'd just be sure the lid will fit, I know on the C7 the lid design changed a little after 2017 and the hood liner also had to be changed since it was raised if you bought an older style lid. But the C7 has a low hood, I'm sure the Blackwing has room in the engine bay that it doesn't matter but the vendor should be able to tell you if the lid is compatible.

Just as a thought as to not spending $1000 on a basically cosmetic lid I just removed the 3 sound deadening plates on my lid. Hellcat whine? definitely not but a slight noise gain. I figured I would try that while I was installing my Kong ported supercharger housing and 103 throttle body. Now that was worth every penny I spent on it:happyanim:

The porting of the supercharger probably resulted in a good bit of the extra wine that you were hearing, more so than removing the plates.

What did you think about low end torque? My used 22 had a ported blower and throttle body when I bought it and I feel like my stock 24 has more torque down low.

Revs sooo much faster than stock. Hit rev limiter first time out, wasn't ready for such responsiveness. Around town driving you'll never know the difference. I am getting it dynoed as soon as weather breaks here in NJ. On the fence about getting a tune until my warranty expires.

Also purchased a 2.20 pulley but that too sits on shelf until warranty expires
