Welcome to the Cadillac V-Series Forums!

Does your Blackwing get a Christmas present?

I’m not sure about the 5 but, the one for the 4 is laughable in the context of actual groceries.
Not for us single guys 😛 been getting by with the back seat of my extended cab for a while

No extra holes needed. They are all there already on the 5BWs.
@GTANotch88 I picked up the factory rear CF 5BW spoiler have to disagree about the exiting holes. The outer required 35/64” bolt holes are not there on my car or I can’t see them (I haven’t taken the painted spoiler off yet). There are 6 factory pre drilled holes on the trunk lid; however, 2 of them are not used and appears you must drill 1 hole 35/64” on each outer side to install a plastic push nut for the spoiler bolt.
The bolt I circled in red is one of the outboard bolts on one side.

I stand corrected then. I swore several people had already installed it with no new holes needed. When I did my aftermarket spoiler I was surprised to see so many holes not being used at all. The little stock spoiler just had 2 locating pins and double sided tape. I assumed all bws got the same trunklid.

@GTANotch88 no problem. I have the same holes that you show in you picture, so since the new hole will be under the spoiler then not scared to drill them. I can coat them to prevent corrosion as well. Hopefully somebody that has installed a factory one will chime in with any comments. It’s pretty straightforward, just curious.

I read on the forum that the spoiler comes with a template for drilling the holes. Did yours not have the template? Having drilled a fair amount of vehicle sheet metal I find what works best is, 1) use a punch to make a light dent, 2) drill a pilot hole, and 3) most importantly use a step drill bit.

Yes it should come with a template.

I got a template for drilling holes and always perform the same steps as you outlined. I usually use blue tape where I perform the drilling. I’ve got all of the tools including step drill bits.
When I originally asked was before I received the spoiler, so wasn’t sure how many bolts and holes were needed. Now that I have everything, was confirming what was originally stated. All good to go, now need to find time between business trips as I don’t ever get in a rush 😃

New cuff links ;)

And some lights. Little by little.

I want some of them mirror covers, looks good!
Just carefully pop those mirrors out if you go for it. I mean carefully, they just click into a plastic bit that's not very sturdy.

Well made excellent CF and all the clips are EXACT!

Anyone else get these?
If so, what do you think? Like 'em or maybe a bit over the top?
Got them both, like KatyTxCT5V states mirror light are a bit large but you get used to them quickly. The image they project is very sharp and clear. The door lights seem to give a more blue hue and look as opposed to mirror light more natural color. I had my mirrors fold during remote lock and light projected onto door, kinda defeated the purpose.

I bought the ones under the mirrors, I just don’t know if I like the way they hang down yet of not. Looks like another camera or small spotlight.
I’ve thinking about getting the ones for the door bottoms, then putting back the factory lights in the mirrors.
Easy enough to swap out. When I get bored I can go back to factory. These things are cheap and when you see them for a second or two getting in or out, they are ok. My opinion. They do provide a great light if thats whats needed.....a nickels worth.

Love the setup. That reel specifically for washer hose? How long 50ft? What make/brand reel?
Thanks! This setup was something I had been eyeing for over 2 years, this being my 3rd pressure washer I decided to go big.

It's a Cox 3/8th hose reel 100ft
100 Series | Coxreels

The hose is a Kobrajet 50ft.
