Correct valve position for Corsa installation…

yes -- some guys on here report it works for them

I purchased a creader elite 2025 prior to install. no dice for me (sadly)

trying again later this week then will elevate to a local vette tuner
Where in NJ, I may be able to help or guide you

Was reviewing the install instructions again from Corsa and noticed something that may be fairly important (though still unclear).

See how step 2 mentions that when you are installing the valve actuators into the exhaust, that you have to make sure the valves in the new exhaust are in the fully open position? That would make you think that when you turn the car off before starting to install, that you should have the exhaust in the open (loud) position, because the actuators would be ready to go into the Corsa, which is wanting you to install it with their valves in the open position.

Thoughts? If you turn it off in tour (quiet) mode, and then install this way, the actuators would think the exhaust valves are closed, but you are installing them with the valves open.

TapOut’s install disclaimer also says to shut the car off in the OPEN position. That’s what I plan on doing, along with making sure they’re open when installing in the new exhaust. Unless you tell me otherwise. Mine still hasn’t shipped. But I think as long as they come out either open or closed and you reinstall them the same way everything should be fine. The car should remember how they were the last time the car was started… at least you would think. I plan to be super meticulous with this step to ensure they come out the exact way they go back in.

Let me know what you do so I can repeat it.

I'll write it up tonight, busy day today. No CEL, did 99% by myself in about 3 hours. You really need the exhaust hanger puller.

Patiently waiting. 🍿🧐
😄 Yes I know, I want to type it up and share. Been so busy with work this week, but I'm still trying to find time to put it together. Let's see if I can get to it tonight 🤞

🤣 I figured you’ve been ripping around town letting those shiny new pipes sing.
Driven for maybe 10 minutes so far...snowing again today 😭
