I stopped by my dealer today to introduce myself to the sales mgr and check in with my sales rep. When the mgr called me the other day to offer me the 120 edition he told me that they had a Rift 4 in the showroom so I wanted to check it out since I hadn’t seen Rift yet. It’s nice.

We talked for a few mins and he echoed all of the frustrations that we talk about here from cars changing status, shipping issues and quality concerns. He told me they received a 4 that had no paint on the bottom half of the door. I told him about some stuff I’ve read here. We both shook our heads. I told him to stay in touch and let me know when they’re ready to roll my order into a ‘23.

So once cars produced,how do you find out where it goes from there whether it’s parked in a lot of doom or somewhere else should’ve been paying attention to this earlier

Customers don’t have the ability to see the location. The dealer can once it’s available, which could be 1 day or 2 weeks from the time it was officially built. this system for dealers is called vinview and it’s fairly new and work in progress. It was sun h trash a year ago I didn’t even bother using it. Now, it’s pretty good. It has its issues but does what it’s supposed to do.

@1StunnaV how do they explain cars sitting for four months after they have been built to you? When I call they give no further information and when I visited the dealership last week the vin view still had an estimated delivery date of 4-10-22.

Don’t feel bad I had a delivery date of 4/26 and then 5/9. And yes still no car yet. There’s always this week!

Car arrived at the dealer May 4th. After processing payment remotely TX to WA, and arranging transport, the car has arrived!
Utterly filthy from 2000 miles of rain, but still beautiful
