Blackwing Order Tracking - 2022 Model Year

Well...shit...I tried deleting a couple posts out of the old order tracking thread and I apparently nuked the whole damn thread! :r :hb

NOTE: the order tracking system is for U.S. based orders only. I can only view orders placed with dealers in the U.S.
NOTE: I will only track ONE order per member. If you have orders in at multiple dealers, pick one...

I don't know if I would be a fan of the cost of covered delivery. The money could be used for a very good detail with money left over. Black cars are a nightmare to keep looking in mint condition. I hope you have a decent garage , away from the lawnmowers and shovels (and kids). Arrived at V-Academy just before dark. The place looks very nice. It looks like Pahrump is starting to get developed and entering modern society. (Give it another 10 years.) The condo room is very , very nice ! Pictures to follow tomorrow. Here is the view from my patio. Condos are above the garages. I saw at least 80+ private garages for the members. More construction in progress.

I’m lucky and have a 4.5 car garage where bicycles and kid stuff are all on the opposite side of the garage. Although this car got to dealership on an open air, went with closed transport for higher quality service. It was $400 more but the guy literally used a microfiber cloth to touch the car when moving it. Went with bears transport. They did a fantastic job of communication and reasonable price.

What days do they do the 2 day school? Only week days? I have to call and set mine up!

They are all 2 day schools. You can check in the night before the classes. 24 hour security booth. They have a breakfast buffet from 6:45 - 8am, then you head over to the classroom assigned. Lunch 12-1pm. 4- 7pm they have a meet & greet bar social, with limited food available at the clubhouse. My wife will have to drive me because the class is pretty far away from the condo......unless you want to get some steps in on your Fit Bit. I think the weekends are used only by the Resort members. I did not see any dates available for a weekend. The weather will be in the 60's tomorrow. Beautiful track conditions. I would not want to be here in the heat of summer. The Cadillac class for tomorrow has 14 drivers. The Corvette class has 18.

I did the Richard Petty school at TMS many years ago. It was awesome. Did not know you can drive your own car on that track. My dealer sponsors track days at COTA. Can't wait for the next event.
I have driven my 5BW on the track at TMS..

First week of May for me, but my 4 has already been to MSRH so it will be interesting to see a new track and hear how to really get the most from it as taught by folks who are experts on this specific car. Hopefully Vegas is pleasant in the Spring.

Barely got her up the driveway with the snow and with her summer tires. But I have to say the fit and finish sure ain’t German. LOL. Look at front door alignment. I wonder if dealer can adjust it.

Lastly, I took off the wrap on hood and under it is a big bird poop stain. Awesome. Need to do some detail work on this thing! For a car this expensive, it is pretty crazy the alignment of stuff. Even the hood compared to lights is not very flush. But guess I’m paying for performance.

Hindsight I should have let dealer detail before it was shipped enclosed.
My driver door is misaligned to the point that the very bottom of the front edge rubs against the front quarter panel every time the door is opened and closed. There is now exposed metal on both panels. You might want to check for that before you write it off as acceptable.

@Rob please, please , please

There are just three 22's left in the tracker to be delivered and they aren't showing MP anymore. The suspense is killing me. LOL

Thanks for all your help man, you kept a ton of us from going insane and a least one from becoming further so...

But he was unsuccessful with @ZoomieZoom55 ... who is happy and has his car, but is still insane (at least I hope he still is😘)

I did the Corvette School the second week of July 2020, when the highs were around 110°F. It wasn't as bad as one might expect.
It’s a dry heat. 😉😂

Where do I begin....

First of all, losing your sanity in the throes of the rodeo is all part of the fun. Trust me; I'm told I'm a "doctor." Secondly, y'all are spot on insofar as I have to be previously and immutably insane to be a psychoanalyst. My job is deeply weird.

Anyway, I have about 150 miles now and some small developments to report: In terms of fit and finish, I still haven't noticed egregious errors, panel gaps, uneven paint, electronic gremlins etc. However, I have noticed the first idiosyncrasy of my car--and maybe all 4BWs--in which in the 5th or 6th gear hum/drone seems to produce a tiny, dash rattle. I can't quite tell where yet or if consistent. I will report back. Tedious, yes. Go to dealership to tear apart and find, no.

Otherwise, I have gotten deeper into the pedal and still am awed by the torque. I can only imagine revving this thing past four grand for lonnnggggg 2nd-gear pulls.

My footwork has improved slightly, though I am still using rev match on cold starts to really keep the break-in healthy and safe. I turn it off when in-temp.

The no compromise, jack of all trades (master of some in this case) still feels true. With passengers I can drive in touring mode and keep everything very smooth and well-damped. My V-mode includes track exhaust (with soft suspension) much to the chagrin of neighbors, my wife as well as tacit admiration from teenagers at Chipotle. I'm what you call a Cool Dad.

I wish I could be driving more but work and home life has taken a busier turn, albeit constructively. As long as the weather permits, I'll drive any chance I get.

I look forward to hearing how other lost souls make out this month. Also hope to meet some locals after the holiday season, especially when some cars and coffee and shows open up.

Anyone need a session/consultation in the wake of the rodeo, I'll guarantee the friends & family discount.

I'll be lurking...no matter what you do....@Rob

Thanks, as always, @Rob

My dealer sent me an email that said I was at 3100, the update still shows 3000. Do orders bounce back and forth in the 3XXX area?
