Well...shit...I tried deleting a couple posts out of the old order tracking thread and I apparently nuked the whole damn thread! :r :hb

NOTE: the order tracking system is for U.S. based orders only. I can only view orders placed with dealers in the U.S.
NOTE: I will only track ONE order per member. If you have orders in at multiple dealers, pick one...

by browsing lots of posts and signatures here, i see people waiting for 6-7 weeks for cars being shipped since it is produced. Is this normal trend for blackwing? my C5B was produced two weeks ago, dealer told me it is expected to be in end of Oct. Sounds like a long wait. my 992 arrived in dealership around 5 weeks from zuffenhausen : )
Welcome and sorry to tell you it's been typically measured by months... not weeks (hopefully improving though?)
For example, my 5BW took ~12 weeks (built March 10th and delivered July 1st).

For GM, upfitters are usually 3rd party completion specialists, ie bedliners, pinstripes, decals, commercial packages and ect. During this era of run-shy they are also companies helping to install previously missing parts. You really must have angered the Goat Sheperd to have landed in such a special on-hold spot.... At least you're not showing MP anymore...

Sounds like free pinstriping may be in his future...

Soooooooo WTF is Upfitter Hold. Please don’t yell at me; I searched the search box and GM Authority. And yes, thank you to the generous and consummate professional, Keri.

Am I correct that this is analogous to preparing for shipping? As in adding plastic wrap and what not?

Or is it “upfitting” the LT2 in my 4BW?

They're upfitting the blackwing badge. Don't worry it'll only be another 2-3 months!

I don't think it's the badges. I believe they ran out of steering wheels just as they got to his car.

No worries though! You can still use a pipe wrench to steer with until steering wheel supply is replenished and some dealer service department hack can retrofit a proper steering wheel with all that wiring. Good times are ahead! :Steer

You definitely got the skills there! ;LOL

Took my BW5 in for its inaugural "break-in" oil change (1427 miles). I made the appointment a week ago and thought I would have reached the 1500 mile "official GM" break in period, but Hurricane Ian had me put the car away for the last 4 days. Been raining here on Long Island for 4 days . The dealer called me to say that the car was ready, did not rotate the tires because of the staggered front/rear set up , installed my Fumoto Valve oil drain plug and apologized that they did not wash the car , due to the rainy weather and asked if I would like a coupon to come back. Politely, declined offer. I have a complete detail station on the side of my house. The Chevy side of the house customers are treated like a red-headed step child.

Is the pipe wrench heated? It is getting cold soon😏

All orders have been checked and updated accordingly. :chuckle
Finally happening. Got on the list on 9/21/21. Order accepted on 4/29/22 after dropping CF1 and seats. Built on 6/15/22 and immediately on MP. 4200 last week. 4B00 today Spoke to Keri at accelerated today and she told me it’s assigned to Jack cooper. Dealer confirmed. Has a 10/5 EDD but as of now it’s still in Michigan. Waiting to see now if it goes truck or train to Maryland. As soon as it shows up the detailer is picking up in an enclosed trailer for ppf and coating. Almost there.

My Uncle had a 1954 Corvette. The huge steering wheel broke and he used a "Vice Grip" as a steering wheel. I once asked him, "Why don't you get a new steering wheel? " He said, "Do you know how hard it is to find a 55" Corvette steering wheel........I have at least 3 Vice Grips in my tool box !" LOL !
