It was a Mk7 Golf R...I put it on vwvortex and FB marketplace but sold to someone I know in a local car group. That S2000 should sell fast!

Do you think there are no suppliers involved in making a base model? Whether they pass along increases (or don't have any) is at their discretion. I'm sure GM sees how the market has been for the BWs and it is not unfathomable for them to want a cut of the action some dealers are getting. It's their fiduciary duty to make money for shareholders. If they could make all customers happy at the same time it would be great, but they are not going to throw away an opportunity for profit. I'm not defending them-just acknowledging the state of the business world at the moment.

Obviously all cars have suppliers. The differences between the 5v and 5BW would be very miniscule so let's see if it gets the same increase.

I agree they have a responsibility to make profit, not that they ever really paid attention to it pre-covid. But I'm sure it would wind up being more profitable to make sure those who have committed to buy something actually get it opposed to jacking up the price so high that they no longer want it. I guess we'll see how 2023 numbers do against 2022 but just seeing the "reconsidering my options" posts here looks bad imo.

After over a year, it has been built! 3800!! Was a 4/18 ... 5/9 and it may be delayed and/or stuck in shipping so who knows when I will get it. But today I smile, at least until the reality of the next phase of the goat rodeo hits.

• RojoCaliente went from 4300 and an EDD of 6/17 to 4D00 and Delayed
• StuckeyGR and jasonfichter went from 3400 and TPW of 5/16 to 3800 and a VIN
• but sethsquire and theansw3r are still at 3400 with a TPW of 5/16
• Caddydaddy, Mike Martz, Racer Flex and Ergoc5 went from 3400 with a TPW of 5/9 to 3800 and a VIN

Does no good though, there not shipping out. I’m vin 379 produced on 1/31 and still waiting

No, it hasn’t arrived at the dealer yet. It has been sitting at the Mesquite VDC (15 miles from the dealer) for 16 days counting today.
