Audi S6 vs CT5-V Blackwing!!

Tuned vs stock (assuming the blackwing is stock). That C7 has 400hp stock, so there's no chance it's keeping up with a CT5 unless it's had some work.

It's impressive what tuning does to Audi's. It's like night and day difference.

There is no comparison between these two cars. The Audi doesn't steer or handle well. The repairs on the Audi will make you cry. The Audi does have a great interior and quattro is very good but a Subaru is better in the rain and snow. I have owned a lot of Audis and all of mine had minor and major issues before 15,000 miles such as the MMI being replaced, the defective moonroof being replaced, the rings in the engine needing replacement, shocks on the rear hatch being replaced, etc. My Audis were the most problematic brand that I have ever owned.

If the Audi was tuned, it could be producing 600+ horsepower and with all wheel drive, it is possible the Audi would beat the Caddie. There is no way that an untuned S6 could be the Caddie. I have driven a few S6s and they aren't that fast. An RS5 is quicker and would give the Caddie a run for its money.

i'll try not to get too defensive here as i currently own for the past two years a c7.5 v8tt s6 but it is a pretty great all around car. to the contrary of others above, it does handle very well, it does have a great (much better than then the cadillac) interior, its not a hot reliability mess and in stock form with 450hp it is quite fast.
its obviously not in ct5bw territory so for it to keep it up with one as in the video it had to be tuned, especially since they werent taking off from a dig negated much of the quattro advantage but that's the potential of a twin turbo platform. my e63 amg prior made 800lbft on just a tune

all that being said, i would love to replace mine with 5bw when finances are right. so i'm not poo pooing the caddy by any means but we dont have to do that to other cars just because we lost a 1/4mile drag race either. there can be more than one good car in the world

Its from a different era I know - but my 2001 Audi S4 Avant was a real screamer with a few mods and a tune and also handled extremely well...again with some chassis and suspension mods. That being said it was not a reliable car...but I loved it just the same and loved driving it. Very few cars could take it off the line and only a very few ever did.

A neighbor who is a big car guy - understatement (owns about 20 cars - all project cars in various states of repair or modding). He's put $25K+ into it over the 3-4 years he's had it now and says his goal is 650 hp to the wheels. Its not back on the road yet (always something he's working on) but can't wait to drive it again.

As noted above (but I feel like I have to restate it all) the Audi is not renowned for its reliability nor cost of ownership (I've had two of them) and the ride quality kind of sucks and the handling isn't all that and for many years now, Audi has stopped shipping us three pedal cars, so they are dead to me.

Other than that, they are great cars.

All I can say is I would buy an Audi before a BMW. I owned a 2011 S4 tuned and suspension mods and it was very reliable. I enjoyed it a lot and was happy with it. I sold it after 8 years, mainly because I just wanted a change.

Last several years I've been thinking our next car was likely to either be an RS3 or an M2. If the RS3 came with MT I'd already be driving one (I'm very enamored with the 5 cyl engine). So when folks would ask - "what's next" for me I would usually respond M2 or M2 comp. But with this latest gen M2 I thought it was a bit too boy racer for me....then no MT - just out of the question....and that's when I started thinking maybe an ATS-V...and of course discovered the CT 4V BW. The rest is history.

Current Audi's certainly seem more reliable than my old S4 (impossible for them not to be)...and we've had great luck with our ZHP....but repair costs for both brands tend to be on the high side.

I'm pretty sure that the M2 (and M3 and M4) are available with a manual. You need to find another reason not to get one. I can help (I had one, albeit OG).

I feel like I'm being baited here.

I don;t think the new M2 comes with a manual as of last year. Besides I just don't like it as much as the prior gen - even though performance (by the numbers) would appear better.M3/M4 have just gotten way too big for me....4 BW is on the outer edge of size/weight for me. And I agree - new BMWs are not what BMW once was - and that's a great shame. These Caddys though are just great cars and I'm so glad they were an option and that I went for it.

I just confirmed (you had me doubting myself, briefly) that the new M2 comes with either the manly manual or the girlie automatic (no charge) in the new G87 platform. I agree that it's not as attractive as the previous gen, and I would not buy one. Plus, I had the previous gen and it was just kind of brutal, but not in a fun way like (I presume) a Hellcat would be.

For all of you girls that prefer/need/want an auto, I'm just yankin' your chain. I know a manual isn't for everybody, and if I lived in some gawdawful place like LA or Chicago, I might have to get an auto for my DD.

I have had several manual BMWs that I have dailied for the last 20+ years, my last being an F82 M4. Sadly BMW design died with the F80 and that ended that streak. I have loved the Audi design for a long time now and like others have said, if Audi hadn't stopped giving us a manual option I would absolutely be driving an Audi for a daily right now.

This....and yeah I'm very partial to MT...but understand its not for everybody. Whatever floats your boat. Both BWs seem pretty awesome as automatics as well...but there is an aspect that having them in a manual is pretty special IMO.

OK - I wasn't aware - thought for sure they dropped the manual. Still...the styling is not to my liking and the reviews where folks say it didn't inspire them to want to drive it more....well...thats saying something.

I've occasionally had doubts about buying the 4 BW vs previous model M2 comp...but for many/most reasons I think the BW was/is the better choice. Its just a better all around car even if there are still some reasons to want/prefer the (older) M2. I still wish the RS3 came in a manual....and I'm a wagon fan....MT and wagon and I'd be there without reservations.

I live in the DC area....and traffic can be as bad as anywhere. I still prefer the MT. I actually do not like driving auto in bumper to bumper....always on the brake as car want to roll....I can feather my clutch and often don't have to use the brakes at all or at least minimally. I prefer this.
