I see at least one report that the 2025 SVR uses USB instead of an SD card. Can anybody confirm/deny? (A picture would be a bonus!)

Would be nice if we could attach a SSD or memory card to it. I remember the good ol days where Ford hid the Ranger's secret little USB slot under the speaker in the dash. Maybe it was the Focus, I can't remember.

I'll have my car next week and I'll be sure to push all the buttons and see if I can figure anything out.

First I've heard of it. Does the PDR still use an SD card if the SVR uses USB now?

If it's USB-A, you could use a sd or microsd card with one of these:

In the 2025's, the PDR still uses an SD Card, the slot to the left of the steering wheel near the HUD controls.
The SVR feature, however, is "missing" at the moment, and this seems to be the experience 2025 Escalade IQ owners are having as well with the updated infotainment/in-car-OS. There's a couple threads from Escalade owners who have tried a variety of things to no avail (https://www.**************.com/threads/25-escalade-surround-video-recorder.1152276/)

There's no longer an SD card slot in the trunk (at least, not where it used to be), this seems to have been replaced by a USB-A port in the center console.
The SVR application is installed, and can be opened by asking the Google Assistant to open the "Surround Vision" app, but it will only display a screen telling you that it needs a minimum 64GB USB drive, with the proper formatting, and nothing else on it.
If you insert a blank flash drive that meets these criteria, the Android Auto OS on the car automatically creates a few directories on it, which seems to "break" the requirement for it to be an unused drive.

Can confirm that the SVR doesn't work in a 2025 5BW. Hopefully there is a OTA update for this. This combined with the fact that the blind spot monitoring is missing in the manual 2025 5BW almost made me regret buying a 2025 model if not because I like the new screen and the new front end.

Anyone get their SVR working yet? If so what flash drive did you use and what format?

I'm not sure we even know where the connection is yet to get it going. It was a nice feature on the older cars, and I'll be sure to poke around once mine is at home and hopefully we can all figure it out together.

My 25 was delivered yesterday. I will mess with it this weekend when I have some time.

The lack of blind spot monitoring is baffling to me on a six figure car. A 25k Kia has this feature.

It should be using the same sensors located around the body as the parking sensors. If I had to guess it was an interface or software issue with the new electronics. Or someone forgot to design the electronics for this compatibility. It’s hard to imagine it was for cost cutting.

It's present on the auto, so they made the sensors work already on the car. They saved a few dollars by taking the light out of the mirror. It's things like this that constantly remind me that I'm driving a nice Chevrolet, not a real luxury car. 😂

I agree, its not a "real" luxury car and that is precisely why I love it. It's fine that it's a Cadillac but I would be just as happy with it if it had a Chevy badge.

Most manufacturers continue to cut features and add to the MSRP with each model year. The 2022 CT5-V Blackwing will forever be the King of value. At least the 23 and 24 still have BSM.

I'm sad I missed Blaze Orange :(

Mine is for sale in Mass. if you are looking. I went to a Porsche from it, and then back to a Blackwing, but decided to get a '25. I've been monitoring my own blind spots for years before tech did it for me.
