I think it was felt to be more of a beautification mod.

I got it for my 23 BW hoping it would reduce the rear tire humming noise in the cabin at higher speeds. There was a noticeable reduction in noise.

Probably a little bit, but I actually want less drone on the highway, and I have a Corsa catback going on this month anyway.

For those that purchased and installed. Is it held in place by "pressure" or does it have some pins / clips / whatever that fix it in place? Thanks

Combination of put pins, the trunk gasket, a lip at the front (above open to rear seats), & I think the side trim pieces, though I've had the side pieces out for several months.
Anyway, held in there with no issues.
