Welcome to the Cadillac V-Series Forums!

What did you do to your Blackwing today?

How hard is it to do the CF rockers. I got mine but was too lazy to install them yet.
Depends if you got OEM or the Anderson, I got the Anderson. In either case, you have to remove the entire rocker from the car. It’s a pain. With the OEM it looks to come with an entire new rocker, with the Anderson you get just the lower CF portion of the rocker. You have the remove the plastic one from the OEM rocker which is held on with more clips and metal rivets.

Preorder replacement clips unless you got OEM (like KatyTX did) which looks to come with new clips. I’m going to write up a small how-to when I get a moment. Christmas busy…

I completed the install yesterday. I flippin love them but they kicked my ass.

I got the OEM, which does come with a entire rocker, but the problem is that the rocker is unpainted, so I'd have to do a similar process.

I installed the Corsa cat back exhaust myself over the week. Love it!

Awesome. It looks like you were able to tuck the mufflers up higher than others I've seen. Can you please take more pictures from low behind the car? Like from maybe a 6 inches off the ground?

Yes, can you measure from the floor to the lowest point on the actual mufflers? I see you also removed the whole bumper, which is not a requirement. Feel to share more info!

Thanks,
Nick

I passed (between) two Tesla Y series cars (who were driving below the speed limit).

I hung mine on the wall!

After it was delivered in October, I drove to church with my son for some volunteer work. While we were inside, my son had a friend, who is a photographic enthusiast, come snap some pictures. He then ordered a GM Black Diamond Tricoat spray kit, and made a frame for the photo he had printed at a local shop.

I'm absolutely floored and in love with my new Christmas present! Highly recommended (y)

That's just amazing. You have a very thoughtful son.

Oh wow! Love it, I need a reprint of that!

Got a set of Lloyds mats from Covercraft site. Ebony instead of black may have been a better choice, but happy with the white trim.

Checked for mouse houses. Pulled it out of the garage. Swept garage. Backed it into the garage. Dreamed of spring weather.

No conjugal visits. The car is parked 75 miles away and I have no reason to drive that far, unless I am picking up a customers car/truck for our family body shop. I believe I can remote start the car for a few minutes using the App on my phone, just to keep the engine oiled up. I still have my Dodge Challacuda to play with !

Well, the roads were mostly washed off today because of all the rain we had yesterday and the temperatures were in the 40s. I took the car out for a 15 minute drive just to circulate everything through the system and give the battery a little charge.

I immediately came back and gave it a thorough rinsing to get any potential salt residue off and then took care of a few small modifications I've been wanting to get done.

Blacked out front side marker lights:

I swapped the front emblem for the blacked-out style, which took about 20 seconds. I reached my pinky in behind and broke just one of the clips on the stock emblem and the rest of them just popped out very easily.

I also swapped the center wheel caps to match. I have black lug nuts to go on, but just didn't have time to do that today.

Normally the car is stored in my upper garage that isn't quite as nice as this one that is attached to the house. In the background you can see my "new" winter toy, a 2017 Focus RS. It has some modifications that put it somewhere around 420 horsepower and it's all wheel drive with snow tires. Lots of fun to keep me busy when I can't drive the Blackwing.

Nice! I had a Focus RS for ~5 years it was an absolute blast especially in the snow. Drift mode was a lot of fun. Two great machines you have there.

Great minds think alike! Already put on the black lug nuts and bought the black v logos. Lights and Cadillac emblems are next. Did you get those at Savage or 404?

Saw my first BW - other then mine - out in the wild today - a MT 5V silver color with bronze wheels & all the carbon fiber bits - looked real sweet - great color combo. I caught up with him (with some effort) and we pulled up next to each other at a light and spoke a bit. Got to say I beat him pretty good off the line...but I got a great jump and maybe he wasn't pushing 100% (still a great show for the 4!). He showed me his stuff after - moving quite well through traffic, pushing me to keep up....and boy the car sounded great....whole 'nother level...

We eventually pulled over and talked quite a bit more and checked our cars out - engine bay, interiors etc. I encouraged him to join this forum and he wants me to start coming to the local cars and coffee. He has some sort of 911 in addition to the BW. Of course everyone wants me to bring the Mustang over...that will depend on temps & weather...

Emblems are from 404, got the sidemarker lights off eBay since everyone is selling the same, made-in-china stuff, so I figured why not get them for half price?

My Corsa cat-back boxes arrived today! Don't think the car will see the road for months at this point, so not in a rush to install unfortunately.
