Welcome to the Cadillac V-Series Forums!

What did you trade?

GT350 is the only modern Mustang I lust for. I think its the pinnacle of Mustangs...even over the (fantastic GT500) if only due to MT....but what a great engine in the GT350. Still I see that its not a practical all around driving car as the 5BW will be. While not GT350 thrills in many respects I think the 5BW will push enough buttons....and do everything well....you won't regret. Now the frequent trips to th gas station might get you down...but there is always a price. I'm still not sold on EVs...regardless of speed performance as IMO they can't give the visceral pleasures like a GT350 or these BW cars. MT is a big part of that but not all...

FTFY. No need to minimize the impact of the MT.

Did not trade but sold my 23 TRX a month ago.

Traded a 2017 AMG GTs for the 22 CT5 BW I’m driving now. 2025 CT5 BW ordered today

Woof woof! The AMG GTS is on my short list for a car in the next year or two. Would appreciate your impressions especially comparing it to your 5BW if you have time.
It was a great car, fit and finish was superb, the driving experience was fantastic. My problem with the car was my size, I’m 6’7” and the AMG was just a little too tight for me. If I were to do it over I’d probably go for the GTc or GTr just to get a little more horse power.

Excellent, thank you. I had a semi epic solo test drive of a 2018 AMG GTR a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it (I'm 6'2"). But I have trouble justifying the massive price difference between the S and the R and I'm not sure I want to deal with the complexity of the rear wheel steer and that inflatable chin spoiler thing etc. I see how much power people get from the GTS with minor mods, too.

I love my 5vBW... but, if i could have turned back time on the odometer of my old E63 wagon, i might have just held onto it. Truly a great car that ill miss.

I had fully planned on getting one of these until the Blackwing came out. They are so nice inside and out!

It was SUCH a great car. Warranty wore out, and was reaching 100k miles... had a friend who had to replace his trans, and I didn't like the idea of paying the price of a Corolla to keep the thing on the road.

I got cold feet at the idea of out-of-warranty maintenance on the thing.

Same with a 911. Once it’s out of warranty and something big goes out, well bend over. Engine, PDK, AC, turbos, front radiators, info system and more. Now with the hybrid S ….geez it’s a complicated drivetrain. It’ll be huge to maintain with the turbo motor and the electric drive motor. All packed in tightly.

I genuinely think Cadillac took a step back with the blackwing on styling. The single deciding factor on me turning in my 2017 was I wanted a manual. That was it. Full stop.

I 100% agree with you.

If I had a V3 manual, I wouldn’t have gotten the Blackwing.

Small parts of me regrets the decision to part with it, but even with 77k miles on it, dealer did me good on trade in value.

Every time I see a Merc awkwardly sagging on busted air suspension, I feel a bit reassured for not getting that E63...

Traded my 2014 Mustang GT (Track pack) with 36k miles. Mustang was super reliable with 0 problems. Had my fun with it, but needed a sedan and a bit more comfort and refinement. Love the 4BW and planning to keep it for a while.
