2022 CT5-V Blackwing
Figured I'd start this thread to document the grand tour of 81-025 over the past couple weeks and upcoming week. I am going to showcase that the CT5-V Blackwing is the best of all worlds in regard to road course racing, drag racing, getting groceries, and doing a road trip to LA, and Laguna Seca from Las Vegas, NV. Back-to-back weekends.

I will upload info/photos as I can gather them, I will post times, and slips, and warn you these are all road course, and drag times of someone with little to no experience in either.

Prior to the event I performed the following tasks:
- Oil Change
- Diff Fluid Change
- Brake Fuild Change - to Brembo LCF600+ fluid
- Alignment change (Note: Dealer had issues figuring out how to get to -2.5 per spec in book, dealers need better training on how to get to -2.5)
FL -1.5 FR -1.5
RL -1.0 RR -1.0

Hit 127 on the back stretch into turn 6, which was quite a wow experience. Turn 1 comes quick and is sharp, never went off track, and could definitely have pushed it further on a few sections. Until next time, I plan to make better time. Over 3 sessions I went from 2:36 to 2:16 to 2:10, got held in traffic the first two sessions point-by passing only.

First time out did terrible, got 12.5, then after some tips from a friend who's been drag racing for 15+ years got down to 11.333 best time. I've never drag raced before on a drag strip, and this was with a pro tree. Great experience, this car is fast, also at a DA of ~3000 ft. I lost in my bracket this morning as I was trying to hit 11.5 and went 11.3, which then managed to repeat a couple times.

Awesome post, I look forward to seeing the updates. Nice to see you using the car as it was designed for!

Question - how many miles are you currently at on the odometer?

Took it in to Findlay Cadillac (993 Auto Show Dr, Henderson, NV 89014) to give the car a look over before we make the journey to LA and then to Santa Barbara, Monterey, Big Sur, Santa Cruz and back over the next week.

So glad to see the car living the life you wanted it to. Enjoy!

Car still smells brand new, and drives better than it did new. I get a feeling that these cars secretly want to be driven hard and too many people are afraid that the cars can't take it. The entire point of Spring Mountain I figure was to show you these cars can take the abuse, consistently and still run great, and even better than out of the box new. Warranty also covers all of the above as long as you don't modify the vehicle.

Taking my first road trip (about 150 miles each way) to the beach this weekend with my bike (hopefully able to fit) for a long organized ride on Saturday. Just completed my 500 mile break in over the weekend. Looking forward to testing it out on some long, straight country roads.

Video from the the dude in front of me at Speed Ventures, I lose him on the straights but he's a pretty damn good driver. I need to work on my apexes
