Welcome to the Cadillac V-Series Forums!

Though market adjustments were a thing of the past? Not in Florida

I just purchased my 2023 CT4 BW with 2500 miles for $60k(before taxes, title and tag).

Had every option checked off including the bronze wheels and the tan leather seats with the exception of the carbon fiber packages.

You just gotta look and look HARD. I had to travel 450 miles to pick it up but it was worth it.

these were all colors you couldn't normally get.... interior and exterior The window sticker posted above (and here) is the special edition 1 of 20.... This customer also ordered a new Cadillac CELESTIQ and bought an Escalade-V from me earlier in the year...

I have another one, not built yet, that will be somewhere around $200k... He wanted to create his own with even colors you couldn't have chosen on these..... It will be a matte neon green from the factory...
So the $36k package is int/ext color options? Is there a list of colors you can share?

No doubt the $200K Blackwing will never see the road and sit somewhere for 20 years. That’s cool, it’s good to have some preserved models for people to see what things were like before EVs.

I didn't know there was an option for other colors. Getting a factory paint job of a one off color would be a sweet option that I would be interested in.

For $36K?

For $36K?
If it were a factory job? Sure. Can't take it when I go..
My only expectation would be the finish to actually look like 36k and not a midas job.

I doubt they would do the same job a professional shop would unless they sent the car out for the work. When I restored a Camaro many years ago it took them one month to do the job. Primer, sanding, primer, sanding, paint, sanding, paint, clearcoat, etc.

I checked out that seeker paint and it appears to be a very dark greenish teal color. Not a fan. Im curious more about that special interior

Guys that are serious about paint as it relates to show cars throw tens of thousands just in the prep alone which is usually a big difference in the outcome. I know a Riddler winner that was in the 100 thousand on the paint/prep. Would love to see a pic of the Camaro.

When I bought my 22' 5BW, I was hoping that they would have a maroon paint color available to match my 1967 Caddy. I would have paid extra if they could have painted my choice of color. Hey, Rolls Royce lets you pick any color that you desire.........for 20-30k extra !

The Camaro was stolen around 1992. This was before digital cameras were widely available and I do have film of the Camaro and 69 Corvette I have tried to locate unsuccessfully. Will keep looking when time permits. In another twist the guy that painted my car was shot and killed at his shop. The ex-boyfriend of his daughter came around looking for her and instead ended up shooting him.

I don’t have one saved on my phone but I’ll see if I can locate it again. I’m pretty sure I saw someone post them somewhere on here earlier this year.

Sounds like an episode of Dateline.

This thread took a dark turn.

I like my car, I really do. But I wouldn't pay $160K for it, regardless of the color.

RTMOP:

Reminds me of a good-ole' boy that built my second house... we were chatting one day about marriage and all that and he said:

"I love my wife. I wouldn't take $10,000 for her. But I wouldn't give you $10 for another one just like her."

same dealer has another 2024 yellow one incoming, 20k markup on that one also.

2023 for only 10k markup what a deal!

Of course, the upside to all of this, for current owners, is that demand remains high as should hopefully our cars' resale, should we ever need to move on.

The long version of the story is worthy for sure. I had a lot of adventures with the Camaro, more so that any other vehicle I’ve owned. Now I’m older and wiser and realize that all that drama is avoidable with proper foresight and rationale thinking.

Sunset Cadillac is the second worst dealer in Florida right under Ed Morse. I hope both dealers loose sales and allocations due to their greed
