Theft Deterrent

So if anyone is looking for a solution to some security concerns about vehicle theft due to remote fob signal boosting here you go. It's a NEW LARGE RFID blocker case that now fits the Cadillac Fobs. I have several of these for my vehicles now and not only do they look sharp, but they work amazingly! The fob doesn't emit a signal (even when standing next to it) until you crack open the case. Follow the link below and use PROMO code VAULT-10 at checkout to save 10%.

Cadillac fobs need the LARGE case.

A couple of videos are on my FB page.

I bought a less aesthetically pleasing but much cheaper option over a year ago for our fobs: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MDF5TX9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I just keep those hanging on the key hooks and they stay there when we take keys out for a car. I keep all the spare fobs for our cars in a simple faraday box: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07W94QLKM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Both work well.
I also keep my fobs in pouches like above. Cheap and effective.

Well, after spending over $100k on a Cadillac, I'm not too worried about going "Cheap". GoDark Vaults are machined from aluminum and are very high quality.

not that there's anything wrong with that seinfeld GIF by myLAB Box

I was a little nervous when I first read this but then I remembered that only the 5BW 6MT cars are worth stealing anyway so I’m safe. 😅

Says the guy selling his 4 and keeping his 5...
She is not gone yet, because if I don't get a "fair" amount on trade I will keep her and do a 24 month loan on the XT4....
In a related post, @Tall Steve is only selling the 4 because he over cleaned the dash and now it's sticky.
Not true, that was your dash and the others guys fault, lol....

Things are pretty abysmal these days on trade-ins. I got an email last week from Carvana for my Mercedes, that I traded in 11 months ago, and the offer was $15K less than the offer from 11 months ago. I got lucky when I traded it since it was right before the used market began to slide. If for some reason I didn’t get a MY22 Blackwing and had to wait for a MY23 that could have cost me another $25K factoring in the new car price increase.

Is this and the OBD lock really necessary with the MT? Probably a dumb question.

A MT car got stolen from the garage at my wife’s work (hospital in Oakland), and the thief only got a block before abandoning hope… it completely ruined the transmission though. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Plenty of manual atsvs and camaros have gotten stolen. MT is not a deterrent
I think that is more or less an old joke on all car forums. They just disconnect the battery and winch the car up on a flatbed. AT left in park, MT left in gear.
