Something odd

On January 4th I installed the Gigs ported throttle body and the motorad ignition coils on my CT4 Blackwing. I am also using the JB4 and the Tapout oversized air intake. For anyone running the Tapout oversized intake lid you know it has a tendency to throw a p1400 code. Mine usually throws the code on the daily. Since I have installed the gigs throttle body I have not thrown the p1400 code not a single time in 10 days. Not sure the relationship between the two ( if any) but I find it a little odd. Not that I’m complaining

"A P1400 code is a diagnostic trouble code that indicates a problem with a vehicle's exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system"

Without being familiar with the LF4 EGR system, is it possible you left a hose unplugged?

I'd start by looking at an EGR diagram, and use that as a starting point for checking.

TapOut says that's an expected code under certain cold start conditions. They recommended using a JB4 function to clear that code. Scroll down to the "Please Note:" section --

Yes, I know. I have had the p1400 code for 10 months. It stopped after the throttle body install. Something must have gotten disconnected or left loose.

I have the oversize MAF & ported throttle body. I've only gotten the code once - shortly after install. It was summertime but a cold rain came in and I stopped for gas then restarted right away as the pump was out of service. Got the code. Cleared it a few days later and its never come back even with numerous starts in sub freezing weather. I have the means to clear it but I'm happy to not have it pop on.
