I am about to ride out a major hurricane in the Tampa Bay Area. Does anyone know if it’s possible to siphon gas from our Blackwings? Would be nice to have extra fuel available for a generator during an extended power outage.

I’m not sure if there’s an additional anti-siphon valve lower in the tank fill line but to bypass the first two, take out the funnel under your trunk floor mat, insert in your gas spout, then insert a siphon tube.

Haven’t tried it before on a BW so YMMV. I’m in SW Florida, good luck to you!

No clue to answer your question. Having survived Ian, best of luck to you.

Thank you guys, this one is looking pretty hairy. I will give the funnel a shot

I'm pretty sure that most cars have a tab inside the filler that will prevent you from stuffing a hose down the neck. I tried it on my Colorado and the hose got stuck ! I was barely able to get it out !
Best of luck. Even though I'm in NY, I just fired up my generator and got fresh gas for the winter season. Just in case. I do have 5 cars with at least 17 gallon gas tanks. I would find a way to get the gas out if I really tried.
