Has anyone tried revving your A10 5BW or 4BW? If so, did you do it in N or P? Also, are these blackwings made to take that kind of beating? Thanks

I would think N is the way to go, then try a neutral drop.

My dignity isn't designed to handle neutral revving.

I believe there is a N/P rev limiter to keep things from harm.

My female cousin had just gotten her drivers license back in the mid 70's. She was driving me in her Dad's 1972 Chevy station wagon with a 350 in it. She asked me what a "neutral drop " was. I told her that you put the car in neutral, rev the balls out of it and then "drop" the gear selector into drive.
She did it and there was a loud bang as the car coasted about 25 feet. Then we had to call her Dad for the tow truck !

Yeah, you really want to limit the neutral drop to rental cars.

Why would you want to rev this car in neutral? It's all about the driving experience.

Just keep in kind that if your tranny fails under warranty period, GM will be able to see those neutral drops. The car is covered for track usage (in stock form) so maybe rev it out there?

The manual has different pops and burbles?
Easy to blip the throttle before letting the clutch out, but I'm sure you knew that. When you do that in an auto it's just moronic and could lead to a neutral drop.

Doesn't every group of friends have "that one guy?" Can't take anything too serious on the intarwebz.

The guy that asks about revving his engine and is too afraid to do it himself? What is it, this guy in high school or something. WTF, just go do it already and report back what happened. This shouldn't even be in the car section, should be in Off-Topic
