CT5-V Rear seat center seat belt

Well, I guess there is hope that I will be able to buy 5bw center belt and cut off and move my 4bw cover over. Sounds like other than the cover, they are the same.

Same here, mine are all red on my 25 5 BW. Guessing it was a mistake in the factory or they were running low on red belts and stuck black ones in the middle.

No, the red center belts didnt become a thing until the 2024 20th Anniversary. Even the 120th Anniversaries from 2023 had black center belts.

But funny that I looked up those PNs and GM couldnt be bothered to swap out a sub $100 part for the same color.

My '22 BW 5 has 5 red belts as does my '23 IMSA.

Confirmed that only the cover is different between the ct4 and ct5 center belts. The ct5 retractor bolted right into my ct4. Only the cover had to be cut off and moved from one to the other.

Interesting as my ‘22 BW5 does not, but I prefer it that way. For me, I would never haul 3 passengers in the rear anyway and I have only one adult kiddo. I have multiple other cars to choose from if hauling extras is necessary. But the center rear belt does works for my driving critic with short legs

IMO, looking at the rear seat stitching on the other two seating areas, plus no center head rest and the drive shaft tunnel for the floor, to me it doesn’t really look like a seating area aesthetically. But, I also understand that for others with larger families, this may be their only vehicle and they may not have a choice and for some that have to have the extra red.

For me, it's getting some more color into that black hole of an interior. Just jewelery, really.

@1Evil55 good point, I don’t have carbon seat backs. I have the Alcantara seat backs.
