Hi,
Recently retired and hoping to soon join everyone as a CT5-V owner.
I can't quite justify getting a BW, but look forward to the fun a CT5-V can offer.
Like everyone here, I am waiting for the ordering portal for the 2025 CT5-V to open.
Any tips, updates or thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi Mark - best of luck getting the car you want. Curious as to what prompted your interest in the CT5-V. Have you owned a Caddy previously? Have you driven the car yet?

To me the 5 is a very large car - and there are pluses and minuses to that. Plusses are certainly the room for passengers and trunk space. The twin turbo V6 is a very nice powerful engine with a very linear character. You'll enjoy it. The suspension on the car is also pretty special.

Hi,
Thanks for the support.
To answer your questions, I have always liked the Sedan as a car style. Grew up in a GM family with relative who had big family cars including Caddy's, which I always liked.
In my youth I had a Corvette and had small sporty cars for work counting the last few years, Saturn SC2 and a Mini Cooper-S (fun).
So, looking for a comfortable sedan, that can hold visiting family but is fun and sporty to drive.
I have ridden in seval model of the CT-4 and 5.
I have driven and test driven the CT5-V and really likes the car, did not feel big to me, it had power and great handling.
We had our eyes on a Black 2024 with the Onyx package, but it sold before we made an offer...
So, like everyone else, waiting on the 2025.

Mark - thanks for the explanation - it all makes sense. For me the 4 is a (somewhat) large car....lol...thats just my perspective as I'm into smaller cars. I see the appeal though...back seat room in our 4 BW is pretty minimal. GM/Cadillac has certainly figured sportiness into these V cars. Too bad the word is not out to more folks. Good luck on getting your car sooner rather than later and perhaps I'll see you around. We're in N VA and get up Maryland way quite often.

Thanks again,
LoL, I was looking to get a CT6 before they were dropped, so to me the CT5 is a "smaller" car.

We purchased a CT5-V at retirement then we loved the vehicle and purchased a CT5-V BLACKWING now when I drive the V there is such a big difference. If you think your going to get a Blackwing in the future get it instead .

Steve,
Appreciate the insight and advice. It has been a hard decision on my part, however the additional $25k plus would be really hard to manage.
Beyond the price, this will be the primary car for the wife and I. The V seemed to be a good balance from something she can enjoy along with some fun for me.
Your note has made me rethink a bit, but don't think I will change the plan.

Thanks...and hope you keep enjoying your BW.
