Very nice Seth, congrats!
I've been riding since I was 19, bought a Honda 360 with the justification that it got better gas mileage than my car, although my commute to school was only 3 miles and I really only rode it for fun. LOL After that, there was a Honda 400, a Kawasaki Concours and then a succession of BMWs with just about every variation they offered except for the little thumpers and the cruiser. My last bike was the one below, full circle back to the Honda with this retro-styled CB.
I really miss riding, but the roads are too crowded, the caged critters are too distracted and my old arms, butt, knees and wrists just can't take it for very long.
In my 40-something years of riding, I only dropped my bikes in parking lots or on the side of the road, never at speed. Never hit anything other than a deer, but there were a few close calls and several scary moments.
If you haven't already, do the MSF introductory course. Even after decades of riding, it still taught me a few things and was worth the time.
