Accidentally purchased two sets of tickets (stupid Ticketmaster waiting room glitch) to the Metallica M72 World Tour in Tampa, FL on June 6 & June 8th.

(2) tickets to the 2-day no repeat show. Section 138, Row S at Raymond J Stadium. I have them up on StubHub for a profit but will sell here for costs. I can transfer via Ticketmaster.

Price: $958.30

I take Venmo, crypto, or cash if local, or would consider trade for some CT5BW goodies.

Those guys aren't getting any younger. Their music sounds as good today if not better than when they began. I made it to one of the Soldier Field shows last August. My ears are still ringing. Enjoy the show whoever takes these!

Good luck and enjoy the show. But boy....there are few acts I would pay to see at that price. Stadium shows also don't appeal to me and I've never been to one....but many friends have great memories of seeing the Stones and Pink Floyd etc so I get that the experience can be good.

Gone are the days where you can see national acts for $5-20 or so like in the old days. I still go to maybe 5-6 (major act) live shows a year....the last being Yes/Deep Purple. I've always been more of a Yes fan but have to say the Deep Purple set blew me away...(we were about mid way back in a large venue and I managed to get tickets for $35 on Stub Hub ($85 seats)....a steal these days...

Kid Rock was offering $20 tickets for his shows just a couple years ago. Metallica tix aren't cheap but Napster was early on...

Unfortunately, the price is nuts. I got them for my teenage son's birthday, his first legit rock concert so it had to be good. Selfishly, works great for me too. Memory maker expenditure.

That said, if you break down the price, it's $187.50 per ticket, per day (2 day concert) which makes it much more palatable for a band like Metallica. However, the monopoly fees by Ticketmaster and the venues is absolute bullshit. $208 in fees alone.

OK well thats better...I was thinking $450 a ticket!!!

Those fees are out of control...

First concert for my eldest son was front row at a Zappa plays Zappa show! I'm a huge Frank Zappa fan (understatement) I saw him over 100 times and got backstage at least a dozen times...been to his home, road in a Limo with him and Jello Biafra of the Dead Kennedys, and got to know him....even had a job offer from him that fell through when his deal with Showtime collapsed.

I also almost had a chance to be a manager for a member of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. My friend who was a drummer was going to get the gig but then they offered it to Chad. He wanted me to be his manager. We both knew John Fusciante when he first got the gig. Unfortunately I never kept up with him after though my friend did.

That's crazy, good for you. Funny enough, Broken Hearts are for Assholes was one of the first songs I learned to play on guitar.. why, no idea, I guess teen rebellious era.

I would have had a very different life....I was dating my now wife at the time and she got to meet Frusciante once. He was a pretty disturbed individual then (but in a good way....before his drug issues...). I also knew Steve Vai and his manager back then and even helped distribute his first album (on an independent label) on the East Coast. I would buy boxes of them from his manager and take them back east to sell to all the Zappa heads I knew. I used to hang out with Vai and his band at clubs all around Hollywood where he played and I have recordings of every show I went to...
