"The gas-powered sedans will allegedly be replaced by sportback-style EVs. GM Authority claims to have exclusive information from sources close to the matter stating that the CT4 and CT5 replacements will arrive after 2026 as pure electric vehicles, and that he automaker has no active plans to pursue mixed powertrain offerings for those models. "
“Sources close to the matter” means the GM Authority guy was taking a dump and overheard two dudes talking in the bathroom at Walmart.

You got to hand it to GM leadership for some of the most brain-dead moves. GM has three cars in Car & Driver's top 10 and they want to get rid of two of them.

Maybe they will pull a Mopar move and go back to ICE.

Or, at the very least make them Chevrolet branded vehicles, they have an amazing winning formula on their hands, genuine world class driver's cars.

The CT5 is known to non car people as something exciting and desirable. They finally did it!

Came across this the other day and fully agree with the points this guy makes about what makes a car seem fast and fun. As much as I do enjoy the CT 4 V BW there are aspects to the car that feel somewhat muted to me....sound insulation, size is a bit larger then I prefer, seems slower than it actually is...etc. Not that I'm complaining - its a truly great car....but in some ways I still find driving our BMW & GTI more fun....and my old MR2 was the most fun of all...
