What are the main differences between the v-sport LF3(2014) and an LF4 engine?
I might be buying a cts v sport and I'd be interested in doing some mods but I was wondering how different it is from the atsv/ct4bw engine. I assume turbos, tune, and non-special rods. Is there anything else?
As soon as I started considering the car, I checked tapout's site for possible mods.

The primary differences are that the LF3 has smaller turbos and different connecting rods.

Ok thanks.
I did end up getting the car. it's a decent project but that was the point.
Eventually I will need to do some performance upgrades such as a tune so at least I know who to go to.

V-Sport is pretty insanely easy to mod. Tune alone can have someone near 12 flat in the 1/4mi.

Add downpipes and a few other tidbits, into the 11s.

Add ethanol and/fueling mods, low 11s.

ATS-V repsonds just as well but is always quicker due to lighter weight and more ponies from the jump.

That said, a V-Sport is the single biggest sleeper anywhere for stoplight glory.
