I wouldn’t be too concerned about the lien. Whoever originally purchased the car probably took out a loan to buy it. However, I would be more concerned the car was involved in an accident and had to be towed.

The selling organization automatically gets a 1 red flag raised by me no matter the car in question, but for a specialty vehicle like a 5BW, all the flags go up. At this price point I'd look for an honest car with all the history laid out for review.

Not for nothing, but Auto Check isn't that great. Spend a few bucks and get a Carfax. I've also used "BadVin". They usually have some additional details. At this price point, and for this type of car, it's worth the homework. Sounds more like a pass to me. Always makes me wonder when someone trades a car a few months after an accident.

painful if you like it and find nothing, but if you are pursing the car, I would pull the wrap off for full paint and body inspection. Hell, hire a pro to do it, put it on a lift, etc.

I have my 2022 5BW automatic, white with less than 6000 miles. Never been in any accident or mechanical issues. $75,000 is what I have found my car to be valued at present. Then you also have to add the sales tax, title and tags to the purchase. You can find a better deal with less miles out there, with some detective work.
