The wants for a JB4 for my CT4 BW are high, but the wants for a warranty are higher.

There's all sorts of ways manufacturers can detect piggyback tunes. Don't believe the claim that it is undetectable. Just simply watching the high mark of accelerometer past a certain factory threshold can be all GM needs.

Exactly, any run back through the logs will show that something is awry.

This only applies to engine issues and the LF4 seems pretty stout.
