Hoo boy- 90 mile Auto CT5 BW 74k reserve not met

Maybe I should get it as a set for my 4BW. The Shadow twins. If I got another, I'd probably like an auto since mine is manual. Adding carbon fiber to a 5BW would be a breeze compared to the work I did on the 4. The dive planes were a real learning experience.
BaT is pretty played out and ridiculous now. If it's not fully loaded with all the crap and that COVETED MANUAL..nobody is buying it! Sure, do people seek the manual? Absolutely, I don't disagree but a Cadillac 4door ZL1 being sold mainly in US has a very wide and diverse set of folks looking or stumbling into this type of car. So the A10 on BaT might get poo poo'd but in reality it's not the KILLLER NO DEAL.

A number of reasons had myself actively looking for CT5 BW with the A10 and like this poster I wouldn't mind getting a CT4 BW with the manual. The 4 is very much more appealing to me with the manual.

I have '22 5BW car #26 with the six-speed in Shadow. I've been tempted a few times to get a 10A "beater" 5BW for daily driving duties as I want to keep my six-speed forever so don't want to pile crazy miles on it. At mid 70's potentially, I may have to consider it a bit more if the market keeps drifting down.

The only thing better than 1 Blackwing is 2 Blackwings. :D
Exactly! My thoughts too. Keep my current 5BW and buy a lower trim, lower optioned, higher mile one as a DD that goes everywhere. Throw all the miles, bugs and rock chips on that one. I have the BOD and CFO half way convinced.

Interesting how there are a handful of us BW owners who either own 2qty BW's or highly thinking about adding another 4 or 5 to the stable? It's a testament as to how good this car is.

I have an M6 but drove an A10 at Spring Mountain. The A10 is a fantastic transmission, no question, but I probably would have looked around a bit more at my options. With the manual I couldn't write the check fast enough.

The market is normalizing, this is totally expected. The "excitement" over the EV dash in the '25 puts downward pressure on the used BW market. I never thought there would be a '25 model but now it seems like it could be around for a while longer.

Stop picking on A10, till you’ve driven one you don’t know what you’re MISSING!
Believe me I know since we have BOTH versions. Market is simply adjusting to a downward trend, there are tons of cars available both BW4/5 autos/ manuals prices could not continue to hold. My son just picked up new 23 BW4 auto loaded A10 no carbon near 12K OFF LIST! M2C economy tanking!

I drove both M6 and A10 when I got my car and had the luxury of choice between the two for the same price, same color. The manual had a moon roof. I went with the A10 without second thought. It's just the better daily driver with minimal fatigue and still fun with the paddles. Thanks for listening.

Just a clarifying note that this auction was on Cars and Bids, not Bring a Trailer. Would it have performed better on BaT?
I doubt it? The clientele on BaT is significantly different than C&B I mean that's like going to Goodwill for the BaT folks.

Neither did I on 25? Now the Camaro is coming back and the ALPHA 2 could possibly be riding longer?

It's a major turn of events! They are bringing it back what looks for 25 model year! And think they will update the ALPHA 2 for Camaro and the 6th gen V8!!!! Love it!
Am I missing a joke?

I have not heard anything of the camaro coming back for 25.

No, Joke! GM always said it's going away for a little while? I didn't think it would be that quick honestly. Since the tooling is there and the investment is smaller scale for the plant 175m I would guess that they will update the Camaro to ride on ALPHA 2

Remember the Alpha 2 is marginally lighter and a couple magnitude stiffer than ALPHA which the 6th rode on.

The A10 isn’t the problem, there are more buyers for that than the MT. It’s just the market adjusting to reality.

I just traded mine in and got 51k for trade, which was the highest of three different bids. Out of curiosity, I asked if it was a manual would it have brought more money and they said a couple hundred at most.

Auctions are different as you might have a couple that want a specific car and willing to bid it up, but that is rare. Especially with the added auction fees etc. I personally couldn’t see buying a car off of BAT or similar unless it was so rare/had to have it. You are going to find better deals for less fees at a dealer. 4 or 5V BWs aren’t rare anymore, even if it’s an MT.

The 4BW has taken a big hit which I’m assuming is what you traded in. Just curious, what did you buy with the trade-in.

Sorry, yup, was a fairly loaded (everything but CF packages, no special edition) A10 4V BW. Got a new LTZ/Z71 Silverado. They are heavily discounted, plus the 6k I got off when I bought the 4 last year it was pretty much a straight up trade.

I will miss the 4V very much, one hell of a car, but I have the C8 Z06 which is obviously a pretty fun car. We have a Nissan Pathfinder we thought we could use for our toy hauler (we have a 23 foot pontoon boat and two jet skis). It sucks at towing because of all the sensors/systems you have to turn off every time you start the thing. Plus we have two large dogs, a German Shepherd and a Bernese Mountain dog. Any way, TL/DR, was nice to get a full size crew cab truck again. Can’t have 4 vehicles so it sucks, but the 4V was the one to go.

I feel like I missed something because it seems Iike the truck should replace the Pathfinder...

It’s a three row/8 passenger SUV, which we use that capability quite a bit driving my daughters friends around etc. Also easier to use that for crowded hockey rink, soccer field parking lots. Hence why that stayed, trust me, I wish it was the one to go, I hate it, but it is also my wife’s car and she loves it.
