Dash cam (for us without PDR)

The camera's are usually a beautiful tool. It does suck to hear the truth as well as others opinion sometimes. Years ago a buddy was selling his house and had his interior cameras set to also pick up audio. He basically spied on the potential buyers convo's. In the end all he really heard was the criticism of their decor. I suggested what he was doing was probably illegal.

Depends on if the state was a one party or all party consent state.

Great. I bought a 1TB card. So I will just let it run all the time.
That's what probably most of us do. I had to go back and turn off audio recording. I never realized how much I insult other drivers verbally. I did miss an opportunity after audio was shut off when a neighbor yelled at me to slow down in the neighborhood. After playing it back, I was speeding 26 in a 25..

The guy showed what he really was, by what he was caught talking about on the camera to one of his employees. There was no apology gonna keep us doing business. His days were numbered anyway. There is a new owner there now that we do business with and so far, so good. I have cameras on my summer home and it caught a HVAC guy talking shit about how we have a garbage heating/ac system that was a pain to do maintenance on. THEY were the ones that recommended and sold it to us ! He was a dirt bag that was soon fired after it was found that he would sabotage the system to get more work. When you find an honest and qualified mechanic....keep them and treat them well.
I don't have faith in my local Cadillac dealership to do quality work on my Blackwing and need to find someone for after my warranty expires. There is a local guy who specializes in only Corvettes and I will ask him if he will do Blackwings since they basically have the same DNA.
Forsho… I wasn’t implying you were in the wrong at all just FYI. An honest mechanic is worth their weight in gold no doubt. I had a guy I trusted implicitly in SF, and just found one I’m fairly certain I can rely on six years after moving to Vallejo. Now I just need to find one up at my spot here in the Mountains. I’ll have to see if the guy I used to use in Truckee is still in business, and if he knows how to take care of a car like the BW.

First I have to actually get the car though! It was supposed to be at the dealership two weeks ago, and it’s been delayed twice now, and last word is it’ll be two to three weeks. Last they know of it was on the train to Reno from Chicago on the 22nd. Not sure how it’s taking more than three days to get from there to Reno, but it ain’t in my control so what’re ya gonna do?

Even after i get the car, im taking it straight to an after market PPF/Ceramic guy to get full body Kovaca put on. So I’ll have to wait another full week before I can even drive it!

You can set it to record every time the car starts. It has a good camera
and is apparently hooked into the multiple microphones in the car to catch every word bad mechanics utter :P
