CT5-V CT5V BW Burning 4qtz/Thousand miles

CT5-V Model
Back in 2021 I do believe that only 120 5 BW's were built for the inaugural production year. So, one person technically could have built those engines.
*****Today I am on the hunt to find the best price for an extended warranty for my 2022 5BW. Only has 6000 miles. I have gotten 2 quotes so far. My local guy for 7yr/56,000 100$ded for $3800 and Knapp in Texas for $2157. What a big difference !

My 4 year factory warranty is up in August (got one of the first 250 5BW cars), so I need to start searching too. Please keep us posted on where you find the best extended warranty deal!

This thread had me curious, plus my change oil indicator is bugging me. So its been around 7,000 miles since my post-break-in oil change. 100% full and still nearly clear !! I don't think I've ever seen oil that clean in a car engine. Some of my bikes leave it that clean between changes, but not usually like that for cars.

See the menu for the complete year/miles/cost/deductible that I posted. $2250 LESS than my local servicing dealer offered for 84month/56k miles !!

I have around 2000 miles on my current oil, 8000 on the car. The oil has always been amazingly clear, to the point the dipstick is hard to read. I find that a bit amazing. I've had other vehicles that look "dirty" within days or weeks.

Update:

They pulled the driverside bank and found more carbon build-up as well as a "cracked" pistonhead. Which sounds insane to me considering they are forged... but that is the words that were used.

I'm waiting to hear back with more details. Will update as more info comes.

The poor response is typical for General Motors. They are extremely arrogant and try to hide behind the dealers. We all think that because we purchased a Cadillac, that we will get "Cadillac" service. When we do feel like we get "Cadillac" service, it is generally because we are working with a good dealer. The majority of Cadillac service policies and procedures are the same as a little Chevy shit box because it's GM dictating them and GM does not understand a luxury buyer. With all of that said, the Blackwing is a cool car. My advice to anyone is to find a good dealer that is on your side, and then absolutely threaten and abuse the Cadillac/General Motors. Most good dealers will appreciate the help as GM ties the dealer's hands and you as a customer can say, do, and leverage more than the dealers can.

Look for a state that doesn't regulate the price of extended warranties. For example, Florida regulations prevent dealers from being able to discount them. Some other states do not. And stick to GM warranties. There are so many aftermarket warranty companies that are junk.

That's why I am only looking for a GM Protection Plan. MacMulkin wants 100% payment in full and Knapp will do 12 months with 0% interest for 12 months. But, MacMulkin is the cheapest price by about $150 for the 7 year , 56,000 miles. I have some reviewing to do before I decide who I am going with. Waiting for a reply from James Black before I decide who to go with.
