CT4/5 Recall Daytime Running Lights

I just discovered this recall (from Carfax of all places). You might want to check you vehicle if you haven't heard anything. I assume it applies to all of them.

Yes, "certain" ones, whatever that means. Actually, leave mine bright. I'm ok with that. Maybe the other dumb asses will see me that way.

I'm sure there are downsides to OTA technology, but love the easy patches and updating ability.

I just had an over the air update that unfortunately did not include the DRL recall update. Dealership only I guess.

The DRL recall can be done OTA by the owner, if desired. You will have to wait until the car tells you it is ready.

I had the oil changed on my 4BW a couple of weeks ago and the dealer "forgot" to do mine, lol....

I read "forgot" as the dealer totally missed it... like in another thread how they only asked about the engine light upon returning the car to the owner... and also that @Tall Steve has not been happy with Cadillac lately

For the record, they did forget it....... I told them I was not concerned about it because my BW is not having the issue....

My dealer said they did mine last week when I had it in for other things, but the Cadillac app still is pestering me about it. I really wanted to do it myself when it said it was ready. It had not told me that it was ready before I went to the dealer.

I tried doing my update today but the car was asking me to put it in park. I have a 6MT. I'll try it again the next time I take it out.

I was able to make the update last night. I had a feeling it was related to the car not being used for a few months and maybe some background updating being required first. It was only the infotainment software though. I'm still showing the drl recall notice in the app.

I just noticed in my app that the recall and one other update (GM N22-2379480) were both installed on 12/8 which was a couple of months before it was shipped to me.
