Conti Extreme Contact dws06 plus vs. Michelin Pilot Sport all season 4 ?

I have the PS AS4’s on my 4BW and I think they suck. It’s barely winter in Chicago and this thing gets shit for traction anywhere near 40 degrees whether it be dry or raining out. I barely have to try.

I’ve had Conti DWS06’s on 2 SS sedans, 2 6th gen Camaro SS’s and an ATS V with great traction even in snow. These Michelins suck. Very disappointed in the lack of traction. The Contis I could drive in snow w them.

Anyone notice that tire rack and discount tire seem to not carry the Contis anymore for these cars? I just checked today and can’t find them on either site.
I had to wait a few days for the Conti A/S at Discount Tire but now they have them in stock for OEM sizes.

It looks like Continental doesn't make those (or any) tires in the OEM size. This is from their website:

They do. Search by size, not by vehicle.
interesting. Looks like Conti rears have a load rating of SL, I wonder if that is the reason. I don't know enough about the load needs of the car and tires to have an opinion of if that SL vs XL load is a big deal or not.

XL 99 is 1709 lb at 42psi (michelin)
SL 95 is 1521 lb at 36psi (continental)

I love the dws06. I put them on every car I own that they make a fitment for. Price is good. Performance is plenty for my daily driving and shenanigans. Rain and cold performance is good.

I'm sure I'll be the outlier, though. Everyone seems to love the Michelin.

We had a light dusting today that did not accumulate on streets and my Contis were perfect. I put the PTM in "wet" and there was no slippage.

Yea I’ve driven all my sports cars in 2 inches plus of snow in Contis and they are great.

These Michelins absolutely suck! I can’t even make it up. Only 6k miles on the rears and they don’t grip for shit.

Wow that’s nuts. They made them for the ATS V and it was the most popular AS tire for that car
They do have them. piranha971 pointed out you have to search for size not vehicle. Ridiculous that the results when searching for the car say "not available in that size"
