Curious if anyone has ever used a ceramic coating like the XPEL Fusion for plastics on their engine bay trim. Thinking air box/tubing, lid, cover, cross bar and other “big pieces” that would be nice to have easy cleaning of before a show. Could also use the ceramic for calipers on some core pieces that are easily visible. I’m sure the caliper version can handle the heat but not so sure about the plastic version - thoughts?

Not worth ceramic coating textured under hood plastic. Try Cerakote, cheap and works great. Get it on Amazon.
I ceramic coated rims and calipers, used Gtechniq. Stated high temp compatible. Makes cleaning wheels so much easier.

The other day I noticed that my Apex Bronze wheels were looking more like aged bronze and my blue calipers were also looking like aged bronze. Luckily they're ceramic coated and it rained real hard and while they don't look fully cleaned and polished the color is back...car is still getting a bit overdue for a wash...
