Hello everyone,

Bought my ct5v bw early march, I’ve bought some parts and figured I’d be that guy to document everything so far.

Currently the car has 7,000 miles.

I’ve bought the

TVS2650R Magnuson supercharger kit

Kooks headers 1-7/8” headers n exhaust

Cordes intake

Lmp heat extractor, expansion tank, 15 inch conversion, catchcan

Lmp has said the 15 inch will take some time, Boost district has said the maggy will be shipped by the end of the month so there is wait time. Kooks headers took about 3 months to show up, everything else arrived normally.

Fastest I’ve been able to make the car go stock is 3.7 in my 0-60 messing with the launch control settings.

Car dynoed 580 whp and 630 tq hot, we didn’t really let it cool off after showing up to the dyno.

I called tsp for their cam options as i had their original stage 3 n/a cam on my old 5th gen camaro but they don’t seem to have options anymore. They offer a supercharger cam n turbo charger cam without any variants. My buddy had a stage 2 boost cam from them for his c6 so i know they used to have it.

Thinking of just calling lmp n having them send over whatever cam they think is good.

Dropped off the car at Mera Motorsports a month later and have a few pictures.

Short story I was recommended a smaller cam in order to avoid changing out the converter (not that it matters financially but it’s what was recommended by the builder)

We went with a stage 1 TSP LT4 cam kit

We’ve had a few delays as TSP send the incorrect parts for the dod delete

The magnuson needed some plates for fueling we went with too high psi plates

103 Kong tb

We were working with dex tuning to get our e85 flex fuel kit sorted out but in order to avoid even more delays we are probably going full e until we can get it sorted out. (Not too sure on the details)

I will post pictures below, we are waiting on the ecm n tcm unlock as well as a pulley we needed for the maggy

First start up video

Some of the problems we faced is we couldn’t workout is hp tuners seemed to have advertised to the shop that they could unlock the tcm for the 2024 BW, turns out they can’t.

There were some delays n price differences in the flex fuel kit from dex so were just going full E

Tuner is going to spend some time with the car to make sure drivability is cool should have it back by Monday Tuesday

I called lmp sometime this week to check on the 15 inch conversion seems they are still in the process of building these out. They told me they’re having some hold ups with the guys who make the billet stuff (idk idr idc lol) so it’ll be a while i guess before I have the catch can and 15inch conversion

Is that the Maggy kit from Boost District? looking forward to your built!
Correct, they declined many of my cards and I had to jump thru hoops to order it.

Their customer service is not very good but hey we are here now lol
 
So we were able to make it to 850 whp and 821 tq, we decided to leave it there as the tcm still isn’t unlocked n the trans is playing nice as is.

Going to get some tires n then the tuner wants to make a few adjustments street tuning.

Our goal is 1000hp after the tcm is unlocked. I think at most we’ll need is a different pulley but I doubt it

Thinkin of either the nt555 305 30
Or MT et s/s 285 35

I’m not crazy about going down from the stocks 305 to a 285 but my tuner has a v3 with a 305 35 mt s/s and it rubs like crazy.

He is warning me against the size I might order it anyway not sure guys lmk if anyone has any experience with these tires n sizes in the stock wheels

Ordered the Mickey Thompsons 305 35 19 s/s we will see if it rubs they should be in tomorrow

Yes, please let us know how they fit. I wanna get a set of tires for the dragstrip.
So they seem to fit good, seems to have a lot of space.

I'm going to a track rental here in NJ at the end of October.

Did some test pulls n the car is super sketch kmao car semi hooks over 50mph rolls but it almost glides left n right as you’re going over 100mph, makes me feel like I’m gonna lose it

60 in 4th seems to be a good match, took it to 140 n was very controllable

we ordered a 10 rib kit for our set up, when the 15 inch conversion from lmp shows up we will try for 1000hp see if the trans holds
