Brand new to Cadillac

Hey Lipton, nice to meet you! I live in SC and have never seen one and was told that I would have to go to Charlotte or Atlanta just to test drive one. I did a ton of research and decided I wanted to buy one even though I have never sat in a Cadillac driver's seat. I know that sounds crazy but the BW are so spectacular, I knew I wanted one. The one I found was a 2024 with 1700 miles and was I believe a 86-939 so it is just a few months old. That was the only way I could get one under the $100k mark. I can't believe you have been waiting that long. 4-5 months is crazy! What did you order, color and options?
'25 CT5-V BW. Radiant Red Tintcoat. Pretty much everything except Precision PKG (don't plan on tracking car). No sunroof (never used them in any car I've had plus I've got a 427 Lingenfelter built Corvette convertible to satisfy my need for the real open air and my Vette is a 6 speed so the BW is a auto so my wife can drive it. Carbon ceramic bake plg. No CF Pkgs however, (couldn't order b/c they were on constraint (whole nother story).
These cars (BW's) are so hard to get. Your dealer has to have allocations. Then you have to go on a wait-list, etc... Not even certain I'll get mine (as promised) at the end of the quarter (i.e this week). I know VIN, deposit down. Balance will be paid upon receipt. Thankfully I'm one of the lucky ones you who only had to pay list. Some have paid as much as $25k over! One I saw was even asking $50k over for a first time Caddy/ dealership customer! Ridiculous.
I already have new 2 PC wheels in order (stock ones just look boring). CF aftermarket parts on order. Paint correction, ceramic, window tinting and PPF all scheduled. Now I just need the dang car!!! People think I make the stuff up about all hassle ordering one of these! Pics when I get it. Here's a pic of my new wheels

I've given up a long time ago trying to figure out why people do what they do. The entire human race is crazy. I can think of a dozen reasons off the top of my head. But, it's not worth the mental energy to contemplate any of them.
Spoken like a true wise man. I agree 100%!

Hey Lipton, sorry for the delayed response. I was traveling. Holy cow you are going to have one heck of a ride. Your new baby sounds amazing. I can’t wait to see the pics. So, did you hear back on the timing? I have never seen a CT-5 BW in person. I can only imagine what the Radiant Red Tincoat will look like cleaned and in the sun! Are you going to tint the windows?

The dealership can order factory badging and install it as if it were new. You could also request the black badging (a factory option) if that's your preference, again, depending what the dealer is willing to do.
For whatever it’s worth, I have an update that I found interesting. I called Cadillac HQ and had them run the VIN #. They told me that as of 2/14/24 they stopped putting badges on the BW at the factory and instead have the dealers put the badging on based on customer’s request/specs. However, Cadillac recently changed their policy and now require the buyer to pay to have the badges sent to the dealer of their choice and also pay to have them installed. I questioned the Cadillac HQ rep saying that did not make sense. Paying that much $$ for a car and then have to pay additional for the badging and install? She told me she would give me Cadillac points to offset the badges but I will still need to pay a dealership to install. Anyway, thought that was crazy. Now I know why it had no badging… I also found out that the reason the owner only had the BW for 24 days is, they are loaded and buy and sell cars every few months. She traded in the BW for a 2025 Audi RS5. Her loss, my gain!
