They actually are very subtle. I saw some on a charger at the gym and they stuck out way too far. Played with the drone and got a few picks from different angles. I was pretty impressed with how it came out. I was 50/50 on it at first, but now I love itNormally I'd say no, but I see that you've color-matched them to the bolts on the wheel and car color, so the combination is really quite striking.
As long as you love them, that's all that matters. Your car. For me, it's a no. Spike lug nuts don't look right on a Cadillac in my opinion. Now standard lug nuts in blue would look cool with those wheels. They actually are very subtle. I saw some on a charger at the gym and they stuck out way too far. It's my car that I paid for. I think I can do what I please. Carry on sir.Spikes on wheels, taking pics with drones, where does it end?View attachment 27623
I can agree with you get to respond how you want. No problem there. I wouldn't track it with 20-inch aftermarket wheels, so that's a non-issue for me. I'm never tracking my car anyway so it's a non factor. 20 inches aren't made for the track, but I know you know that. I did do a burnout and none of the bolts flew off and killed anyone.Agree, its your car, do what you like. But, we get to react to it I suppose.
Looking at those wheels more closely, the face/hub appear to bolt to a ring on the wheel? I know two piece wheels are nothing new, but I'm dubious on the strength of wheels considering how little of the 10 spokes attach to the wheel. Heavy car, high corner speed with tremendous grip...![]()
