V-Series Cadillac(s)?
2024 CT4V Blackwing #35
AWE tuning is looking for feedback from current Cadillac CT4 and CT5 owners yes this includes V’s and Blackwings. I attached a link tell them your interested. Finally a company willing to make a cat back exhaust for the car. They have a vehicle lined up with the dealership. They just want feedback from the public and current owners if they should proceed ! AWE Exhaust Suite for Cadillac CT4 V Blackwing - AWE

Loved the AWE exhaust on my Audi so I'm interested for sure.

Would prefer baffling option maintained as well as aero if possible though neither necessarily a deal breaker...

Maintaining (some minimum degree of) Cats also my reality living in VA. Options (and availability) for for O2 sensor placement (etc)...of great interest (understanding some of the issues with this)....as well a aftermarket DP compatibility...

It would be nice if they could really utilize the valves so when closed it will be a noticeably quieter than when open. Doesn't have to be as quiet as stock valves closed

funny that they are interested now. I called those guys every month for two years, then gave up and purchased a full kit elsewhere.

same story with corsa. I will rock my CPD kit until it literally rots off the vehicle

After a number of articles I've read from here as well as info shared from our resident BW engineer, I think the OEM is still the best option. Not going to be much difference from one shop's catback to another. Differences are going to boil down to construction and materials used. I'm all for multiple options and if that is what it takes to keep the cost bearable, count me in.

I remember reading something a long time ago that the mufflers are part of the preventing air build up under the car. I wonder if the aftermarket exhausts have any noticeable difference (butt dyno) to the downforce; more air under the car will reduce downforce.

I'm new to the forum so maybe its been discussed here. I haven't searched for the topic.

AWE and cost bearable in the same sentence. lol

If people want sound, downpipes are still the best value for these cars.

About time….been begging these guys to make an exhaust for our cars since early 2022. When I spoke to them last month they said by end of year something should be out. Would’ve purchased a Corsa system already but AWE was hands down the deepest/cleanest exhaust for 6gen Camaros and I’ve been holding out. I see a few guys talking aero loss vs oem muffler. From what I’ve seen it’s a negligible difference on the similar design the Camaro has - definitely not anything I’m concerned with.

$400 off right now

Given AWEs overall great reputation, I am a buyer if it has similar to OE tips. I also hope they can package the mufflers in a way that they don't look like the goofy Corsa ones semi-hanging down on that 5BW above.

There are options that exist today !

Diamond black tips look amazing

You’re right there are lots of options maybe five, but this is car culture. If we don’t support one another, it fades away. Why not find out what another reputable company may come up with right.

Only making sure you were aware as the OP mentions someone finally made a cat back.

Does anyone know if this is still happening? Any word from AWE for the CT4?

If it weren't for this email inquiry out of the blue from December, my honest bet would have been never. Perhaps they cannot gather enough interest to justify the R&D costs. see the inquiry below from dec 04 2024

I called them all 2 years ago as well. guess they were waiting for enough TAM - total available market - to matter.

Same advice as before - your local shop can just remove stock exhaust for fractions of this cost and have better sound.

Think about it - why would you pay $$$$$ for another muffler to make it louder ?!?!?

Stock exhaust manifolds + no muffler is still very quiet.
