I'm looking to get both a front and rear CF spoilers. I've gone through the threads keywording for Anderson but wasn't able to find any direct comparison to the alternatives, specifically Exhibition of Speed and OEM (if I missed it, please do let me know).

From what I've seen Exhibition/Terrance does some pretty great work but was curious if anyone has done a compare between Anderson, Exhibition, and OEM? Given the variations in carbon and finishes I've read here, e.g. OEM having a more gold tone versus the more silver of Exhibition, it's hard to know what to get without actually seeing it in person.

Has anyone done a stare and compare between, or have pictures that provide that comparison?

Folks with Anderson Composite...
- Quality of the weave? Finish? Fitment? How has it held up in the sun? Regrets?

My 5BW did not come with CF1, but I’ve had both the Exhibitions of Speed and Anderson Composites lips installed. In the end, I stuck with the AC lip - mainly due to the fact it was more OEM-like. However, the EoS is of much better quality. A prettier weave and the actual V design. The weave on the AC is all in a one direction.

Both great lips though. Both have the same fitment (great). The AC is a bit cheaper and it does come with the side wickers. At the end of the day, this is the lowest hanging part on my daily that sees 50+ miles a day, so not too worried with it being high end carbon.

@FISH22 are the side wickers that come with the AC lip separate individual pieces or molded with the lip as all 1 piece?

This is great, exactly what I was looking for.. with the options out there and the costs associated with shipping the parts, once you order it you're more then likely stuck with it.

Thank you very much.

No problem!

I will say, the factory OEM lip is still my end goal. The AC lip is VERY close to being an exact replica, but you can tell it’s not.
Is it your end goal because it's OEM or aesthetic preference?

Mainly aesthetics. I just prefer the OEM carbon pattern. However, the AC lip is pretty damn close. May not be worth the switch down the road due to availability and price. Plus, I think the OEM wickers are an additional $1k+.

Love the AC lips they look great!!

@FISH22 Sorry, reviving with another question.

You mentioned fitment for the AC lip was great, did you install any other of the AC CF trims, e.g. rockers, defuser, spoiler? I'm asking as I just ordered all of them and Anderson recommends having them installed professionally... was curious if they actually need heavy modification or just some minor filing to fit?

Thanks

AC recommends also having all their CF either professionally clear coated or PPF to protect it against UV. I have read many complaints regarding their finish after a few months and AC denied warranty, instead pointing to their terms and conditions of sale.

From their website: Our dry carbon fiber products do not have the UV protection and we recommend having them sprayed with an automotive grade clear coat with UV inhibitors if you do not plan to have them wrapped.

As for installation, you need to determine your own capabilities and if you feel comfortable like any other project.

Good point.. I was planning to do PPF on the front lip but I guess I'll get the rest done as well. Granted, the vehicle won't be stored in the sun.

Im running the AC hood and was honestly impressed with the product. Even tho they're under the same Seibon umbrella, this hood was nicer and better built than the older Seibon Hood I've had on my old 240sx. This thing is waaaaaay better than the Carbon Creations hood I had on my C6Z and that was a $2K hood.

Good to hear!

I've ordered the front lip spoiler, rear diffuser, rear spoiler, and the sideskirts. Sideskirts are backordered till December which is a killer. The rest are supposedly shipping out tomorrow.

Do you have any pics of it on your car? I would like to get evaluate the panel gaps. I notice with a lot of aftermarket body panel result in uneven gaps.

The hinge holes on the the stock mount are slotted so it’s fairly easy to adjust the hood. Didn’t even had to adjust the striker/latch.

Just had the Anderson Composites Carbon Fiber rear diffuser installed by a professional body shop. Overall, the piece looks great, but unfortunately the fitment wasn't perfect, which has left visible "panel" gaps on the upper portion, in the areas where the connecting tabs are. The body shop said they spent a ton of time trying to get it flush, but felt they couldn't without potentially damaging the part.

1. Should I be okay with this? It is bothering me, especially considering the Anderson Composite pieces were not cheap.
2. Any ideas on how to fill the gaps so that they don't draw the eye? The white LED reverse light also shines right through the gaps at night, which is not great.
