Got a low oil level warning today and to my surprise it was 2 quarts down! Last oil change was 3500 miles ago. Photo is after I topped it up.

I saw a couple of other threads talking about excessive oil consumption, but curious if any more owners are having issues. I drive pretty hard, but haven’t tracked it.

I would suspect a dumbass technician that left you two quarts short but maybe that is just my experience.
I had the opposite experience when a dumbass service writer wanted to argue with me that my Silverado 2500 6.0L needed 8+ quarts of oil. It used 5-5.5 typically.

2 qts is pretty excessive. Before getting scared and looking for answers one MUST SET BASELINE! I would start with fresh oil/filter and date documented at your house and if your already concerned enough have the dealership start the documentation too.....

I would bet the last technician just filled up crankcase with V spec quantity......

I recently noticed I was 1 qt low. I'm at 25% oil life left. I know it was topped off correctly at the last oil change bc I personally know the dumbass tech very well since he also owns and drives the car. I was 1 qt low in between my last oil change as well.
