Welcome to the Cadillac V-Series Forums!

....

Isn't there a V and V Blackwing variant of the CT6??

It had Luxury and Blackwing. It even had a Hybrid version introduced in China.

Platinum and the V had the "Blackwing" 4.2 Litre TT V8. 500 and 550 HP respectively. Awesome cars, would love to have one.

PS...they WERE NOT called "blackwing" until the 4 and 5 came out as "Blackwings". Now people call the CT6 V a blackwing because the engine was called blackwing.

Thank you sir.... I got off the phone a little while ago with a Cadillac source and I was told the CT6-V was not called a "Blackwing"..I just don't understand why the CT6 guys are all of a sudden calling their cars "Blackwings".... I ask this because I got into a little pissing match with a guy on FB and the post was shut down...
I agree 100% with you. No one ever called them blackwings until Cadillac introduced the CT4 and CT5 V Blackwings. Maybe they want to......IDK. Who knows.

Ive seen some on FB sag we don't have real Blackwings since we don't have the much weaker (my words) Blqckwing V8.

Either way, there have been YouTube videos of CT6-V Blackwings long before our cars came out. At the end of the day it's just a confusing marketing campaign/brand.

Period the end…

Well the ct6-v is a rare bird…. It’s not called a blackwing however the engine in it is the original blackwing ,and some might argue…. Our cars are not blackwings because they don’t have the blackwing engine.

Quad cam over head twin turbo….

There was a CT6-V for sale at elco Chevrolet in Ballwin Missouri the last time I was over there. Also I feel like the ct6-v is kind of like the STS-V.... cool in concept... not really actually cool

I get that. Though it's as fast as a 4BW, and not too far off a 5BW. Plus AWD, so that would help in crappy weather. Plus a huge sleeper. No one would even know what just blew their doors off.

My concern is, everything else aside, 1475 were built. What's the engine parts issue down the road? Will I be able to get engine parts for a bespoke engine in years to come? IDK, but I still like them. It's another car that if you can get one, get one. I wouldn't mind having one.

The CT6-V does have more Blackwing logos on the car than the CT4/5-V Blackwings do. ;) (Same engine builder who did my car 5BW too.)
