2022 CT4 BW
Ga. 400, well known for its over abundance of law enforcement.

If I’m going that fast, and going to jail any how, crap, I’m just gonna punch that pedal deeper into the floor board,
A) to see if it will top out at it’s maximum speed

B) to leave the smokies in the dust get up the road ahead of a curve and find an exit…, and hide in a filling station car wash. : )
Been there, done that.

Nice, I have hit 130mph and honestly it was no big shakes to get there and handle it? The car is one tough cookie!

Well...., I'm not confessing to nothing..., however, with my CT4, on a section of 95 where I live and a 6 mile straight away with jersey barriers on each side with 3 lanes at 11pm and little traffic...., I may have hit about 15 to 20 MPH above his limit once upon a time. It was definitely a sphincter clenching moment for me.
I not sure why at my age..., I still have this "Boy Racer Mentality".
Adrenaline is a bitch!

143? Sissy! I live in AZ. We have some, um, very empty, straight roads with no LEO around. I may have been 15 above that.....maybe not. Or was it in Mexico? Either way, it was probably stupid to do so.

I've heard a 2020 Dodge Charger Hellcat Widebody is very stable at a buck seventy-four. The 5BW is just as stable at a buck seventy.

The article just says V, so it was not necessarily a BW. Still hauling, though.

Would suspect they're going to throw the book at you and your insurance company will extract vengeance. Your 4th of July present. Don

I've seen 177mph in my 5BW six-speed and it was a non-event. Closed course, Mexico, etc. Though, once the shift to sixth gear happens around 160ish, acceleration rate drops off quite a bit. :D

This was my experience as well, in Mexico. Needed a whole lot more runway, void of Federales, to peg the speedo.

Always make sure to bring lots of cash to MX. That's how you pay any speeding tickets. :)

Lawyers, guns and money...
Got the 1st 2 covered, my college-kids got the 3rd.

anyway I've 'heard' that the track-focused ZL1 can't really gap a 4BW

I unfortunately learned this lesson the hard way many years back..

Been all over Mexico and I mean all over.....Anyway, it's not the same and I am being honest your chances of being victimized is almost to the point of guaranteed now. Don't go is my advice.
and definitely...., don't drink the water.
Tequila is for the medicinal purposes.... : )

I have never ,ever had any ambition to go to Mexico. The closest I ever came , was at Imperial Beach , California , where I could see the border fence extending into the water. I was told not to swim or surf in the waters , because the Mexicans pump raw sewage into the ocean that drifts up into San Diego coastline. I could smell the funk from the beach. I'll take my chances with the Canadians.

There are still parts of Mexico that are very safe and that are great fun. The Yucatan for instance which I've been to a few times. Merida is a great city to visit and there are fantastic beaches, cultural sites and great food all around.

When I lived in Cali (back in the 1980s) I used to get down to Baja (sometimes for extended visits). I did once have to help pay off some federalies who arrested one of our group for peeing in a parking lot of a club. Back in the day I used to go down there often enough I could even drink the water, eat fruit and iced drinks without fear of adverse consequences.

My son and some friends visited Mexico city and some surrounding areas last year and had a great time and felt safe - though they were accompanied by a local guy they knew who kept them away from places that should be avoided. And some areas should definitely be avoided.

Your comments about having to pay the Federales for "peeing" in the parking lot and having to have a local guy keep you safe , says it all. My Mom went to Mexico years ago and was staying at a "nice" resort. When they woke up, their money was gone. Someone had entered their locked room (? employee) and stole from them while they slept. Very scary to say the least ! There was news last month about 3 young American girls who were accosted by the police on the beach and had to pay them cash to be let go, for doing nothing.
Yeah, you will NEVER find me in Mexico unless I am kidnapped and dragged there.
