    Winter Wheels and Tires

Have you had a chance to drive on them yet? The sottozeros are frustrating me and I'd rather not use them next year. The weather here really doesn't necessitate snow tires, and they feel very compromised on the warmer winter days.

CT5-V Pics without Carbon Fiber package?

lol, clicking that option in the configurator does nothing (to the preview). The preview has a splitter either way. I did not click it when ordering, still got a (plastic) splitter

From the rear (1Evil55, if you see this, nope no CF packages)

CT5V BW OEM rear CF spoiler on Ebay

I'm interested in a CF spoiler for my no CF package car But... that doesn't look like a CT5 spoiler? More like CT4? The 5 doesn't have that cutout

    Winter Wheels and Tires

Sweet. If the Coopers do OK in the rain they are probably the better option in milder climates

    Winter Wheels and Tires

We got some 6" of snow out here in the PNW. Good opportunity to give the sottozeros a try. And the verdict is... I'm glad the CT5 isn't my only car. I was hopeful dedicated snow tires would give it the upper hand in turning and stopping, but in back to back tests my XT5 (awd) on all seasons was...

    Winter Wheels and Tires

I haven't driven the car on the PS4s yet, the Pirellis were installed day one. So I can't make direct comparisons. My SS was on DWS06, and I really liked those tires a lot. The traction was outstanding, and just enough snow capability to get me around. The Pirellis are not as enjoyable. They...

    Winter Wheels and Tires

I talked to two individuals at Tire Rack and both ultimately agreed the mixed fitment was the best of bad options. The first person I talked to (Parker Petersen) was also concerned about the spec differences, but given that it's a RWD platform and not AWD he wasn't super worried about it. The...

    Media dumps

Yup, exactly. I did that by accident first time I drove it at night. It dramatically improves highway night driving for me. Very very happy it's a thing, and it's cool that the geese recognized the feature.

    Allocations

Last 3 of the VIN is reused. For example, there are two 145s, two 146s, and two 147s. This appears to be one per transmission option, but not always (I see in the registery some cases where two VIN are both manual) I am VIN 190, but I'm not part of the initial 250. For manuals, the collectors...

Dealers That Are Not Charging Above MSRP

I was curious about that. How many dealers that were honoring MSRP for the preorder have since changed their story. My dealership was pretty insistent that almost everywhere will have a markup, even if they don't tell you about it up front. Sewell might be one of the few that have consistently...

    Are flippers failing?

Depending on your idea of actual sale price when "brand new", I bought my '15 SS (automatic) for $43k and got nearly the same on trade-in. I can't possibly imagine doing the same with the Blackwing in just 6 years, but also I don't expect it to depreciate nearly as much as the previous V models...

    PDR thoughts

Yes. Although only via the 'Recorder' app on the car itself. The shot from above is not representative. Here is a video of the Recorder app. You can select recordings, see all 4 cameras at once, pick a camera, fast forward/rewind, etc... Sorry for the glare, hard to make out in the video, but...

    PDR thoughts

Yup, no need for PDR to use as a basic dashcam. I've got surround vision, no PDR, threw a FAT32 formatted SD card in the trunk and get surround recordings while driving automatically. It was a very pleasant surprise.

Delivery Thread - Post Pictures Here!

Picked up yesterday. Full front PPF. Absolutely love the sky cool grey interior. The dealership was all decked out in Vs, with a 4 BW and V2 in the lobby show room.

    Winter Wheels and Tires

I did get the sottozeros installed on my 5. 265/35 front, 295/30 rear. I talked with a person with tirerack who ultimately indicated its the best of the bad options, and the mixed Porsche/Mercedes specs, while not ideal, should be fine as it's not AWD. There was an additional follow-up...

Dealers That Are Not Charging Above MSRP

A non-optional dealership package. So it comes with 'stuff' (oil changes, door edge guards, etc) and isn't ADM in the sense it's not more money for nothing. But they can basically charge whatever they want for the package. Initially they wanted $50k for that package. I was ready to walk out the...

Dealers That Are Not Charging Above MSRP

Right there with you. I have otherwise been very happy with my dealership, but the last minute markup (which is not technically ADM) made me nearly give up on the car, and will exclude them from future vehicle purchases. I can only justify the extra cost in that I got an allocation while others...
