I finally heard from my dealer. He spoke to a Cadillac rep and at least my car is sitting at the autoport because it is waiting on a control module and they won't release it. No specifics on which control module. My car has been sitting there since Feb 14. Mine was an auto CT4 BW, no CF package...
So it seems like there is a lot of assumptions why the BWs aren't being delivered... mine has been at "AUTOPORT AT DELTA" since Feb 14th.
BUUTTT... Has there been an official response from GM/Cadillac? Is there a way to get an official response?
And I thought it was just mine. I got a call in very early february saying it was built and just waiting to ship. Here we are nearly April and still no word on exactly when.
It is direct injection only and is forced induction... so I assume there is a need for a catch can system to avoid carbon deposits on the intake and valves.
Hey there. Still waiting on my own CT4 BW to come in. But I've contacted a few manufacturers for catch can systems.
One in particular has asked me for a variety of pictures of the engine and engine bay without the engine cover on. ADDW1 is the company; I've used their products several times and...
Scott did say "Performance Packages" so that tells me more than one, and likely needing some mods to achieve these latest numbers. Fingers crossed the latest dyno is on pump and not E85 and/or meth.
They should at least get you a loaner... but I think because it has been out of commission more than 30 days, it's clearly a lemon and should be replaced under the Michigan lemon law.
I also heard from Apex and got the same recommendations. Shout out to @WONT TAP for providing measurements. Apex is pretty much the only manufacturer that has 18" non-forged wheels that fit the CT4 BW... And I contacted a crap ton of manufacturers!
Got quoted $628/6 months — $1256/yr. Skokie, IL (Chicago area), 36, Male, no accidents, renters bundled and been a customer at Progressive for 5+ years so there are discounts.
This is only $176 more per year than my current 2019 G70 3.3TT Sport.
Someone just posted this on a FB group. There is a site selling kits to add the rear view camera mirror to most alpha chassis vehicles, including the ct4 and ct5. Seems like you'd need to remove the roof liner and pillar covers... but those that don't feel comfortable doing that could go to a...
Yeah, definitely if it was really 2-3 months before it got in my hands. That's about when I was expecting it. So if someone on here is ready and wants it, they can take it and I will place another order this spring. Otherwise, I'll wait and see how everything plays out. Worse case scenario the...
Here is the car I ordered in December:
Cadillac Configurator
After reading many of your experiences about months wait times for your order, I thought to put my order in December and expect a spring/summer delivery.
I get a call yesterday and my blackwing is produced... I was like... Oh shit...
So... In the recent CT4-V Blackwing review on Driven Car Reviews With Tom Voelk, Cadillac put winter tires on the stock rims. I was able to snag a few screenshots. Not sure which version of the Michelin Pilot Alpin (4, PA4, 5, 6)... but there clearly exists winter rubber from Michelin that fits...
Here is the kit I am going to get when mine arrives McGard 65515BK. McGard, up there with Gorilla. Spline drive on the main lugs and 4 locks, all black.
