I have found my CT5-V BW does get a lot of attention (thumbs ups, comments) from car guys and non car guys alike. That said, mine is electric blue.
Funny this thread devolved into an ICE vs EV debate. Ironically I got a thumbs up from a Tesla driver yesterday. While I love my manual BW (and...
My 5BW was built at the end of January and I received it in early March. I had planned to have it ceramic coated and, when I did, my detailer showed me a small number of factory blemishes, all of which would've been overlooked by the typical consumer. He did a great job and I am very satisfied...
Very similar story. Sold my 2015 Audi R8 manual and placed an order on a E63 Wagon in June of 2021. By August M-B announced that engine would not make it to the US in 2022. Narrowed it down to RS6 Avant and CT5-V BW and, ultimately, the manual was the tipping point. Placed my order in August...
Not sure if the dealer had to bleed it. They obviously replaced the lost coolant. I was pretty impressed as they also cleaned my engine bay, saving me some time.
Problem figured out! There is coolant plumbing/hoses right next to the lower pulley. Apparently it was not seated correctly and was making contact with the pulley and eventually wore through the hose. Seems like bad QC at the factory. Dealer indicated new hose should arrive tomorrow...
Thanks for the feedback. I plan to do a bit more troubleshooting to try to find the source of the leak. Strange because the expansion tank still has visible coolant in it.
Part of my hesitation with the flatbed is the potential to scrape the front end. Still remember the pain I felt watching...
Pulled in the garage and smelled coolant and saw some smoke/steam coming from the hood. Opened it up to see coolant in the engine bay and dripping underneath the car. It wasn’t immediately clear where the leak originated. I know how much cooling there is on this car and I imagine a hose clamp...
Driving my 5BW around the capital beltway Wednesday I came upon another 5BW. We acknowledged each other before separating in traffic. Pretty rare to have two of these together. License plate was “F1”. You out there?
After trying multiple positions (with my new personalized plates!) I couldn't get it to not interfere with the PDC sensors, plus the radial arm extension looked goofy. I've gone back to the original EOS solution (no radial arm) for now and I will disable the sensors. I am thinking the long...
I bought the EOS tow hook license plate bracket and the jury is still out. They indicated it would work with/without PDC sensors, but I was unable to find a position that didn't interfere. They were very responsive and sent me a radial arm that attaches to allow for different positioning. I...
Taking my first road trip (about 150 miles each way) to the beach this weekend with my bike (hopefully able to fit) for a long organized ride on Saturday. Just completed my 500 mile break in over the weekend. Looking forward to testing it out on some long, straight country roads.
I also used an old (~10 years) 32 GB Sandisk that was FAT32 formatted. I previously purchased a 400 GB card from Costco and reformatted to FAT32 but it wasn't recognized.
