V-Series Cadillac(s)?
2025 CT5-BW, 2022 CT4-BW (Sold)
This is how Cadillac should integrate the volume knob back in the manuals, that's gone missing in the MY25+ year models. This is running the same software that BW has.

Here is the screen grab from Blazer SS (EV) review.

Hmmm...between losing Super Cruise and the volume button, I'm torn between the A10 and 6MT. If you could get an updated sport wheel with Super Cruise for the A10 it would be a no brainer for me but I really like the sport wheel...1st world problems!

Oh, well. With the wrecked stock market, I'm probably keeping my '22 a bit longer before upgrading.

Unless you're retired/retiring, what does the market have to do with your disposable income decisions?

Well, of course most if not all of us plan to retire at some point. But I think it's mostly psychological - when the market is down, even if your portfolio is still good and your personal financial future looks bright, it's hard not to want to think defensively.

At least for me, anyway.

Very much this. I call it Financial Psyche but, I've heard it referred to as Consumer Sentiment.

To me, the idea that a down market has any meaningful impact on non-retired consumers is illogical, its actually an opportunity. I keep pouring money into the market regardless and the shares I'm buying today are cheaper than they were 6 months ago. It's going back up, it ALWAYS does. so take advantage of the lower costs.

My purchase decisions are influenced by shorter term concerns like crazy inflation, layoffs, housing market changes (not the value of my house, but my work is tied to the industry) and other things unrelated to the market.

That looks like about a $300 upcharge which we all know is a deal breaker for you. 🤣 (too soon?)

For working people like myself, my spending is loosely tied to how I perceive the job market if I were to loose my job. My regular investments stay the same (dollar cost averaging as you alluded to) and my discretionary budget the same. However, I may fatten my emergency cash during those times.

As far as the market, yes it will go back up, but in my lifetime I have seen it take 10 years to happen.

This time around it is not an economic stumble but a permanent (as far as my lifetime is concerned) loss of confidence in the US and the dollar as the reserve currency from the rest of world. Don't expect a rebound to where we were 4 months ago. That next dip could be the next ceiling.

Ouch. That was a good one.

I'll make an exception for the volume knob 😃
